Okay - I'll tell you what. There were times when Tiger wasn't clutch. I remember one specific incident in the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, where HE LAPPED THE FIELD. He d have seen the first chapter in the most dominant run in golf history this past week.

Thank you for coming around and proving what I was saying. Tiger "was" great. Notice how you had to go back 6 years to talk about all that really nice stuff he did. Heck ever had to go back 9 years for one of those tournaments. I guess the question is was Tiger better back then or has everyone else gotten better and caught up to and passed him? He'll certianly win more tournaments maybe even some more majors though he'll continue to choke more often than not. Also if you dont count anything he did before 2001, how great are his stats? I assure you that his percentages are only as high as they are because of his awesome start which is also the reason people consider him the best golfer ever when he isnt the best golfer even right now. We all still remember his feats in 97 and all through the beginning of his career and alot of people are still high on that.


Edit: Just because I love golf don't assume I am a bro because I am not ;-). I will say one thing about Tiger, while he isn't the hottest golfer I've ever seen in the PGA, he is a cutie. I'd take the spot of his wife anyday.

No he doesn't actually he just doesnt know how to read stats. He counted his 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes as top tens which is incorrect.

Right. 1st place is top ten. At least ESPN thinks so. Tiger had 6 top ten finishes this year of which 3 were 1st place. He leads the wins and money list this year as he did last year. So what's the point of all this other than to pass the time at work (not a bad idea by the way).

1st place cant count as a win and a top ten. 3rd place is a top 3 finish not a top ten finish and 2nd place is usually part of a top 3 finish as well. Its normally broken up in to wins, top 3 and top 10. nothing counts as both categories or all stats would be inflated. Haha a girl knows more than you both about golf, take that :p

Tell it to ESPN and the PGA Tour. Explain to me why the PGA Tour has Tiger with 6 top 10 finishes this year. Are you saying the PGA is wrong and you're right?
