Racism also often expresses itself in micro-aggressions and thoughtless comments.
Here's an example my daughter told me about. Her school teacher was explaining about Australia in geography class. He said that the first people who lived there were the Aborigines, but that mostly "normal people" populate Australia now.
Now, I don't suppose that her school ...[text shortened]... ss is ubiquitous, and you can't spend your whole day micro-listening for these types of occurrences.
