You're onto it JJ, instead of butting heads with them, try to get them to spell out what they thought the game plan was, play along with their fantasies, what was the program. They might mention a gallows or guillotine, but that wont last long before they realise themselves how ridiculous they are. In the end the worst will be some guy stole a lectern and another fellow had horns on his head.

Meanwhile on the other side, cops used stun grenades to murder people.
