@Metal-Brain
But you don't get the part where the entire play was scripted months before by high ranking repubs, the fake elector scheme, the lead up to Jan 6, the plays later were ALL prepared in advance with folks like the wife of the supreme court justice Thomas making phone call after phone call to Mark Meadows about setting up the coup.
It WAS a coup BTW, as much as you and your Russian boss wants to spin it.
The only thing that stopped it was Pence not agreeing with the script.
He was no angle but he stopped it from happening, much as you would be hating the fact we still have a democracy still so far anyway.
@sonhouse saidSo the trespassers take over the building,.

What's their next move in over throwing the most powerful goobermint in the world?
They might like to order in some pizzas, but what happens when the cops stop the pizzas, and eat them themselves?
Edit: The first law they might like to make is: The cops are not allowed to stop our pizza from being delivered.

@jj-adams saidYou're omitting the fact that the folks wandering around in the capital were a small part of what ... Admittedly ... was an attempt to overthrow the government.
OMG a bunch of people walked into the capitol building and wandered around for a couple of hours.
We almost lost our democracy.
If they had stayed there past midnight, they would have been automatically in charge of America, the way the media tells it.
Fake electors.
Deliberately and repeatedly asserting election lies they knew were lies.
Pressuring state officials to change certified outcomes.
Luckily what happened avoided the possibility, but let's not pretend the plan wasn't designed to keep a president in power who wasn't elected to the position.
@wajoma saidYou haven't been paying attention. There was an entire extra legal process in place to replace state certified electors with trump ones. The protesters were just there to sow chaos.

@wildgrass saidHaha and the protestors were all in on it.

You see what I mean, Let the Jan 6th exaggerators try to explain themselves and they make ijits of themselves with their, ah hem, theories.
Please continue: Some protestors linger in the building, numbers dwindle, 'chaos' is raining down one the capitol, what's the sit rep in your imagination for Jan 7th. A few diehards are finally negotiated peacefully out when they realise the cops ate all the pizza.

@wajoma saidNo I didn't exaggerate or write the protesters were in on it. But the trump team did have a fake slate of electors ready to go. They had a legal strategy for delegitimizing the elected president and installing someone who was not elected. The protesters were just pawns to create chaos around the event I suppose.

@wildgrass saidDefinitely don't want any 'legal strategies' when it comes to elections.

Please proceed with your ah hem theories.
@wajoma saidWhat theory? The alt slate of electors was real. The under oath testimony of trumpwas real from aides who knew the election fraud claims were fake but kept spreading lies. The legal framework to change the outcome was written and signed by real lawyers. The phone calls pressuring election officials was on tape.
Definitely don't want any 'legal strategies' when it comes to elections.

It's all real.
@wildgrass saidLegal is legal, do you prefer illegal strategies?

"legal strategy" your words.
So you think the protestors were dumb pawns, some are in jail to this day. Joe Biggs spent months in segregation, literal psychological torture. He wandered in asked where the restroom was, used the restroom (not Nancy's desk drawer), came out, the cop said "You should leave", he left. For that years in jail.
If being a dumb pawn means you should be in jail, half this message board should be there now.
@sonhouse saidWhat about Ray Epps?
@Metal-Brain

He was listed on the FBI most wanted list and was taken off of it.
"In a clip taken on January 5, Epps is recorded telling another Trump supporter: "I don't even like to say it because I'll be arrested. I'll say it. We need to go into the Capitol."
Why was he not charged with seditious conspiracy like those who did nothing more than he did? Are you going to be like Jamie Raskin and say leave the poor guy alone even though you know nothing about him?
https://www.wnd.com/2022/09/jan-6-commissioner-ray-epps-leave-guy-alone-whoever/
What about the DNC pipe bomber? Why don't democrats want to know who he is? He left a pipe bomb at the DNC steps and the DNC will not release the video of him putting it there. Is that a false flag too?

@wajoma saidThat happens to protestors fairly often. Sometimes there are worse consequences than what you describe. Yes it's bad I agree. Maybe we need to relax the laws.

Your minimization of the event pretends that there was not an underlying serious effort to overthrow our government. Part of that effort was disinformation about voter fraud.
Also maybe obvious but legal strategies do not necessarily support legal activities. That's up to a judge or jury to decide.

Where is Ray Epps employed? Where does he get his income from?
He was on the FBI wanted list and was taken off. Why?

@metal-brain saidWTF. This is a bizarre post, probably only understandable in wacko depths of the internet.

The Trump team admitted on tape, in writing, and in sworn testimony that they were working on a plan for Trump to remain president despite the state-certified electoral vote tally. That's an obvious attempt to overthrow the government. How can you see it any other way?
@wildgrass saidIt was an attempt to challenge the election results. Don't you believe the FBI? They said there was no attempt at insurrection.
