Here is a question for you. Why are those of you who are arguing about Climate change doing so? This thread isn't about Climate Change. This thread is about Social Media...Climate Change was an example.

I just looked back at this old thread. I had forgotten about it after being advised by someone to move it to the culture forum where it got far less response.

I suppose the debate forum serves as proof that many here just like to argue!

The biggest problem is the short term political cycle, it’s very hard to get the politicians in power to make hard choices for even 5 or 6 yrs down the road, they are obviously focused on the choices that are most likely to get them re-elected and that usually means only pain free policies for us selfish electors.
