@JJ-Adams
Why doesn't anyone interview a bank loan officer. Does any bank anywhere take the customer's word on how much a property is worth? I'd imagine the customer's claim is kind of like the initial asking price when selling a large piece of property. It just gets things started and gets the buyer to think of a higher number.
This is about like charging someone with a crime for putting a house up for sale and asking too much for it.

@jj-adams saidNope. I asked who told you nobody was defrauded.
No you asked how the loans were legit.
They were paid in full and on time and none of the financial institutions are complaining.
Where did YOU get any information that fraud had occurred?
Edit, and then I asked how you know they were legit.
You don't know either things. Just lightning bolts from the noggin.

@athousandyoung saidthat is a lie, well actually not …there was no option to have a jury trial…you libs support some very ugly people
Trump's lawyer didn't request one
@mott-the-hoople saidso they pay their fair share? why aren't you? the property was listed for a price, presumably paid taxes at that level, now trump says it is worth more than a billion. Wouldn't you want him to pay taxes accordingly?
why would moskowitz be worried about another individuals property taxes?
Can YOU say your house is whatever price you like and pay the same taxes?
@zahlanzi saidWhy would the NYC DA have anything to do with the value of property in Florida?

Seems like her primary concern would be prosecuting the huge number of violent criminals in NYC instead.

That is exactly what this prosecutor is doing. She is trying to set ALL parameters in this.
In short, institutions do not lend money on the word of anyone. They have their own appraisers. No one was cheated, all money repaid. I know, you know, everyone knows this is a political hit to interfere with a presidential candidate.
Why do you pretend otherwise?

@mott-the-hoople saidI just checked the tax value of my house online. The tax value is WAY under the real value. It's not even close. For fun, I checked my neighbor's on each side. Theirs' are also way under valued.

Am I under any obligation to report this? Not at all. If I were to take out a loan and use my house as collateral, would I be under any obligation to ensure my tax value aligned with the value I claim to the bank? Not at all. If I overestimated the value of my house to the bank, would that matter? Not at all. The bank probably barely even looks at what I claim anyway.
Being responsible for a tax value being too low is not a thing for most of us.
Well, if your last name is Trump, it's a criminal offense.
It would be laughable if it weren't so chilling that Democrats are getting away with this and their voting base aren't even capable of having any thoughts not approved by the Democratic leadership.

Of course there are people who get away with fraud or any number of other crimes. That doesn't mean that the thing trump did is not fraudulent.
@wildgrass saidexplain the fraud then…go

Here's what gets me....years after the loans were paid off, etc, the DA and judge don't want to just fine Trump a few grand, they want to destroy him with something ridiculous like a quarter billion dollars or some siht, and take control of his business.
Everybody but the Orcs on this site know it's wrong.
@jj-adams saidIt gets to you because you're emotionally invested in a cult leader.

@mott-the-hoople saidThere's an ongoing trial and weisselberg has already plead guilty. It appears to be illegal to overinflate your assets in order to secure more favorable loans. From what I hear, it appears to be pretty standard practice to overinflate your assets anyway, hoping you don't get caught, and then when companies get caught they just settle it with attorneys out of court.
explain the fraud then…go
I think exxon was sued for basically the same thing, settled out of court. Even trump has previously settled these things but it's a bigger deal now he's a former president.
Funny how you folks love to talk tough about crime and law enforcement until your cult leader gets caught in the mix.
