SAN DIEGO – Solomon Gordon Raymond, also known as Paul Anthony Raymond, was sentenced today to 57 months in custody by U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez for lying to banks on a series of business loan applications he used to take almost $500,000.

Why dids a city DA have to dig it up and after the Feds declined to prosecute it, she took it upon herself to do it?
Maybe their people are either complicit in the crime or too intimidated by Trump's influence in their business to say anything.

We are in a conversation where what is being questioned is whether or not Trump is being prosecuted for something that others have not (or would not) be prosecuted for. One way to demonstrate that this is NOT the case is to cite other examples of OTHER people who have been prosecuted based on a similar set of facts. You seem to waffle back and forth on this thread between two positions - "this is not criminal fraud" and "Trump is being unfairly targeted" - even though these are two very different arguments.

LOL you ask me to do your homework for you. A simple google search would tell you that many individuals and corporations get caught artificially inflating their value to secure more financing. It is illegal for obvious reasons. Most settle out of court.

There was no need for this to go to trial. Trump does not need to be present for this. He runs campaign-style events outside the courthouse. He's using it to create the impression that his enemies are "persecuting" him.

Yes, I have biases. I am often wrong. In this case, I don't think we should just agree with what the criminals have to say, without doing any homework.

He is being unfairly targeted because it isn't criminal fraud.

It is though.

And it's not quibbling. It's still criminal even if other people don't get charged for the same crime. I'm sorry to report that life isn't fair sometimes.
