@no1marauder saidI dunno how you can make it any easier than this for the slow ones.
Listen to this:
The State created private property and uses force to defend the theft of what was communal resources that were then divvied up to those individuals and groups favored by the State.

@wajoma saidBloody nonsense.
The welfare state doesn't achieve increased prosperity it hitches a ride like a parasite on the back of prosperity created.
Prosperous productive people can survive fine without the welfare state.
The welfare state cannot survive without prosperous productive people.
That should give you a clue as to who the parasite is, this no chicken and egg dilemma.
The system y ...[text shortened]... free stuff that is the lure, and it's the free stuff that necessitates and perpetuates the barriers.
The progressive reforms instituted in Western nations in the late 19th and early to mid-20th Centuries transformed an inefficient, top heavy system into one that led to the spreading of wealth across the working and middle classes. Before that, capitalism's inherent tendency to centralize wealth and economic power stifled competition and worker's incomes. Only when these reforms took place was widespread consumerism possible and aggregate demand increased to an almost explosive degree.
Of course, a good amount of that progress has been lost in the last half century or so, particularly in the United States by a return of primitive, laissez faire policies.

@wajoma saidYeah what we need is no taxes and no social provision at all just enough taxes to pay for the para military police that will be required to enforce such a system and contain the citizenry on behalf of the 1% and their corporate offices
Let peaceful people cross borders freely. The major impediment to this is social welfare, state healthcare, state education, which provides artificial incentives.
An immigrant prepared to stand on his own two feet in every aspect versus those looking for free stuff.
Nice idea from a guy who hates the idea of goobermint force 🙄
@athousandyoung saidYou dependents by your very nature will be owned by other people. My dog knows that I own him, he is a dependent.
The only people who want to own people in this country are you WASPs.
You, too, will know that you are owned. Anyone who gets a check for support from the govt is dependent.
Uhhhhhhh
@no1marauder saidI CAN’T WAIT for Marauders twisted treatment of this question, given his welfare posture,
Hardly. As has been show to you many times, the type of modern "welfare state" you rail against is the most efficient way to manage a predominantly capitalist economy.
And the increased prosperity it achieves encourages immigration of those with useful skills that further enhances economic growth.
Hey Marauder, is it possible to have an open border and a welfare state at the same time?
@averagejoe1 saidThe US doesn't have anything near an "open border" (1.2 million migrants were removed from the country in the first six months of 2023) but sure why not?

We get along without strict population controls and immigrants are far more likely to positively contribute economically than newborns.
@kevcvs57 saidReal cute. ‘Need no taxes. “. Then, “just enough taxes”. Are you Suzianne’s little brother in training? Jesus.

Yeah, just as long as we are not supporting them!!!!!!!! Hahahahaha
What a boon they bring to our country!!!! Ahhh, Marauder, the masses!!! Music to your ears.
Factoid to everyone: If a person promotes Socialism, note that he would be wealthy, given the fact that socialists will not ‘live under’ socialism.
Marauder, is wealthy.
@AverageJoe1
Marauder says our border is not open. Bless him, maybe ‘open’ has a diff definition in the School of Marx.
Are all articles beginning with ‘Open Border’ thus faulty at the outset.?
@kevcvs57 saidThen if you consider your reply to be understandable, tell it to the judge.

Suzianne needs to teach you, her little brother, the art of glibness.
And hey, Kev? Find a class on the art of analogies. Mud?
@suzianne saidMight you grant this humble Forum poster a presidential prediction? You are so mean. And I am offfeeennnnnnnded.

@no1marauder saidYou most certainly lie, you did not, and you will not. Prove it, by first saying Yes or No to the border/welfare question, and giving reason.
I already answered that question in this thread, so why lie?
Note that you mentioned the USA in your answer. The question was not about the USA! And “we get along without population controls’……?.? What? Jesus. You and Kev…….i mean….
OK. Again,,,can a welfare state and an open border exist at the same time?
@averagejoe1 saidI already did both, you raving idiot, unless you can't grasp that "Sure, why not" means "yes".
You most certainly lie, you did not, and you will not. Prove it, by first saying Yes or No to the border/welfare question, and giving reason.
This moronic strategy of yours to keep pretending people haven't answered your questions why they already have is annoying.
