I'm asking for your opinion, not a link to some video. I am well aware that certain so-called Muslims hate Jews. I'll change the question. Is hatred of Jews ingrained in Muslim culture or is it a relatively modern phenomenon?

It is ingrained in a certain brand of Muslem culture. It is certainly not a modern phenomenon. It has been present from the beginning of Islam. The Prophet Mohammed fought the Jews in his time and hence stems the Islam brand of anti-Semitism.

Of course in our time there has been an influence on Muslim anti-Semitism emanating from European anti-Semitism, in particular the latest and most vicious version of anti-Semitism, National Socialism.

This would be a little strange, given that many "Jihadists" are Arabs (and, hence, Semites themselves). Are you purporting a new self-hating Arab theory?
Yawn - try to keep up!
That is a diversionary argument!

I'm afraid we'll have to hear this remark every time the anti-Semitism of Hamas, Hezbollah and all the other Jihadists of Arab origine is being discussed. I'm getting used to it by now.

The Prophet had a Jewish wife.

She's good looking. These are her female charms. You will have to get to know her a bit better though to be able to like her in the political sense. I was baffled by the way she was able to get a red carpet treatment in the US. The President, Condi Rice, Kissinger, the whole lot expressed their admiration for her. In the States she was elected one of the most influential woman of the year.

She has a lot of talents and you will hear more from here in the States. She'll probably publish a new book shortly. Beware !

When the ummah was in Medina, it was at war with the Meccans, led by Abu Sufyan, who intended to wipe out all those blasphemous upstarts the Muslims; Mecca triumphed at Uhud but received a thrashing at the Battle of the Trench; one further victory, and Mohammad found himself at the head of a growing tribal confederacy, whose members swore not to attack one another and fight each others' enemies. The three Jewish tribes of Qaynuqah, Nadir and Qurayzah, who had their own powerful armies, were among these enemies: Qaynuqah staged a rebellion against Muhammad in 625 and were expelled from Medina according to Arabic custom. Mohammad attempted to reassure the Nadir but had to expel them too when they just wouldn't stop plotting against him (he was a political as well as a religious leader after all); and the Qurayzah sided with Mecca at the Battle of the Trench: all seven hundred of their men were killed as traitors were expected to be killed and their women and children sold as slaves. This sent a signal to the rebellious pagans in Medina, who had been allied with the Jews.

The struggle did not indicate hostility to Jews in general but only those three tribes, who had backed the wrong horse and paid for it. The Quran continued to revere Jewish prophets and urge Muslims to respect the People of the Book. Smaller Jewish groups went on living in Medina and Jews eventually enjoyed religious freedom in the Islamic empires. Hatred of Jews, quite an old phenomenon in Christian countries, became marked in the Muslim world after 1948. Muslims then started importing anti-Jewish myths from Europe and translating sick texts like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion into Arabic (a sad counter-point to the Abbasid cultural florescence, when Arabic translators were more concerned with Plato, Euclid and Aristotle). Muslims who now quote Quran passages about Muhammad's struggles with the three tribes to justify their emotional political bias distort the message of the Quran and the attitude of the Prophet, who hated Jews not.

Edit--distort for distory, not wrong

Bosse de Nage: "Hatred of Jews, quite an old phenomenon in Christian countries, became marked in the Muslim world after 1948."

This fits in well with your biased view on Christianity. Round trizillion of "lets play the blame game".

Bosse de Nage: Hatred of Jews, ..... , became marked in the Muslim world after 1948.

"Which source is telling you this ?

Do you agree with Bosse de Nage's claim that "Hatred of Jews, ..... , became marked in the Muslim world after 1948." Did it not exist before 1948 ?
