@eladar saidThere is no "cash" change here where I am. Exact amounts credited to the account.
In Oklahoma they had to make an adjustment to the debit cards that the poor were recieving. It turns out that many people were taking the debit cards down to the local casino to fund their gambling habit.
I also remember seeing people using food stamps to buy a small amount of food. With the cash they got back as change, they bought cigs and alcohol.
Some people used to buy high end products and return them, and they got cash back. Not any more.
But people here do sell their stamps at 50%. Maybe for drugs, maybe they don't really need the stamps.
@dood111 saidWhat could be in that cartoon-drawer's mind to make that cartoon? I thought just the few of us here think like that. Could there be a movement going on, to stop supporting those people!!?!?!?? Hallelujah, the 2nd coming. We may be saved!!
You'll love this cartoon:

@athousandyoung saidWe've been doing it for years, with the yo-yo taxing going on all those years, up and down, and you fellers still were able to live off of funding by us. So if we cut taxes after Biden chokes us, I guess you will still be able to go to the trough, there always seems to be something there. Thousand, I can't figure it out either.
No you won't you'll do your best to cut taxes so as to defund these programs
There has to be a link somewhere that I can put in this thread, I will go 'a lookin!

@suzianne saidI say support the truly poor and desperate,,,,,we agree, Suzianne. It is the losers and parasites that I think we are talking about. Did you get Earl above? You work to make $100,000, and you pay a tax on that income.
And the poor are tired of starving.
A loser across the street collects that kind of money, (being HIS income) for free. Suzianne???
@wildgrass saidYour posts are getting as vacant as those of Suzianne
Your US congressperson gets paid a lot more than that to not do anything (but scroll twitter all day and complain about stuff).
@dood111 saidNo one is 'starving'. The poor in this country are doing a lot better than even the middle class in some countries. (Please spare us the links, everyone, you know what we mean). Oh, did you hear, the 7M available jobs is now OVER 9 Million? So, why are they poor? Suzianne? Do they want to be poor? I think they do, just like I think girls who are pregnant want to be pregnant. Think on these 2 thoughts.
Once again, I repeat, we got the fattest poor people in the world, they sure don't look like they are starving. The SNAP program is available to anyone that's poor and they get more than enough $ to eat on. If they are starving they are doing something wrong.
@very-musty saidreread the post....family of 4, I think.
@AverageJoe1
No single person who is unemployed "collects" 100 grand a year 🙄
Jesus Joe...😔
@averagejoe1 saidSo tell companies to stop eliminating jobs to cut costs and increase profits.
reread the post....family of 4, I think.
Give those people jobs.
Does any company owner need a billion dollars?
The top of success is a mansion...a private jet...travel. Security for life.
Company owners don't need billions...
A few million is comfortable...30 million buys you everything you could ever need.
Sorry Joe...
The days have started where the super rich are getting scared.
Society may incorporate a wealth cap eventually 🤔

@very-musty saidMusty, you are right up there with Marauder, the most liberal of us all. Did you say that corps/businesses need to NOT try to increase profits? Dumb it all down to bring equality to society?. The deli owner needs to share his profits with cooks and staff????

Marauder, too, like Bernie, thinks it is his business how much people make, and that the authorities should be able to control him and take his money....and tell him that he does NOT 'need' a yacht. (which he prob doesn't, but that is not the deep issue here, is it.) Enough of that, we get where you are coming from. Maybe you can join the Squad with Marauder, and there can be a Platoon!! How much is 'enough' for a successful man to have? Remember, he might want a ski lodge in Aspen AND..........AANNDD....a small island in the caribbean. At what point do you yank his leash? Oh, I see above. You have magically arrived at $30M. That will hardly buy a house in Palm Beach. You wanna re-think that??
Give him hell, Musty. Forget that he created a lot of jobs, and made a lot of investors money, to send their kids to college. He is reaping his reward. Money is but a tool, a measuring device, that got him on this path. You suggest that the corp just give people jobs willy-nilly. How can you make such a blanket statement? You been in the board room? Run corps before? YOU are truly an air head.
But here is the best part. You are so naive. You think a guy owns these corporations? No, investors own the corporation. Someone said last week that Haliburton made all that war money. No, their stockholders, including me, did.
@AverageJoe1
Joe quit acting like company owners live pay check to pay check...
They make over 200 times what a real labourer in their company makes.
Do you remember that show where company owners had to secretly do the jobs of their company and they sucked at it?
So why are they getting paid so much?
I can outwork you any day 😉

@very-musty saidShort answer..... The corp board, who assesses the quality of work of the 'rich' officer of whom you speak, decides that he has made the corp a tremendous success. In the case of Apple, the corp is worth Two Trillion dollars today. The board is so happy with the work, and the genius, of Tim Cook that they (the board, together with stockholders, like myself) voted that he should make $110M last year.

So he makes a LOT of money for a LOT of people. Did you see Musty's post where he thinks Cook should only make $30M a year? When his adoring stockholders want to reward him a bit more? Remember, this is THEIR corp, to do with as they will. But you and the Marauders, somewhere over the across the street having lattes', think you should be able to decide how much officers make!?!??!
My point? This company has nothing to do with you (unless you are a stockholder), and can do anything, within the law, that they want to with their money. How could it be otherwise, unless outsiders, or the govt, should be able to breach the stockholder and board meetings and take over. TAKE OVER APPLE! Jesus, who am I dealing with here.......
@AverageJoe1 How, HOW!, does what corporations do in their day-to-day operations have any thing to do with interests (yours) outside of their doors?
