Wandering off? I am asking a simple questikon,,,,your perfect world has people being responsible for other people. Do you think it is OK for Mamdani to ask hardworking , service-providing, product-providing American citizens, self-reliant independent Americans, to give 40% of their income to people who are NOT self- reliant???
I may ask you this again.

PS>. As a courtesy to my friend Sonhouse, this query will not require a reference to President Trump.
Those people don't have much, 40% of nothing is nothing.

It's the rich non-producing, non-hard working CEO bastards that have all the money.

We can only hope but in that case we have a dude even more rightwing than Trump, JD Vance. Don't know which one would be worse, but I think at least in that case JD would be a bit easier to control, I don't think he has a lot of friends on the repub side and for sure 100% against by dems.
I'm pretty sure JD is dumber than Trump. The guy can't even order donuts, and look how easily his head was turned by Erika Kirk. He does love his couch, though.

LOL...So we could say the President and Vice President would be "Dumb" and "Dumber". 😉

If his followers agree than it is a financial experiment and that is taxing the ultra rich who maybe pays 2 percent in taxes. But I guess ultra rich dudes paying 2 % is just fine with you because YOU strive to get to that financial heaven.
For the rest of it they sneak off getting thousands or hundreds of thousands they never would have gotten otherwise.
But OF COURSE, they would be Trumpites so GOLD for you.
Not so much for the rest of us.

? Is Jeff Bezos not a producer? He just produced something to my front door yesterday morning, that I'd ordered 16 hours earlier.
Query, suzianne.....please follow this logic for our entertainment....should I pay money to his company for that service, for that production???

Please. Let' chat. How else can we learn? There is instruction inbedded in these posts.....

You seem to dance around your issue. Can you Not write facetiously, or sarcastically? Tell us what you are trying to say, like you are explaining life to your 13-year old, who needs only to hear common sense from you. The whys and wherefores of life. How people live together, such as that.
Please re-phrase, would love to delve into it, I dont want my answer to put words into your mouth. Simple is as simple does.

And this is most likely why the Taliban hasn't moved in wholesale.
The Taliban focuses mainly on Afghanistan.

Couching this in different terms however, a recent UV light in JD's house found interesting blobs on the couch and rugs.......

So yet another post attacking the messenger in your futile hope we would not notice you said NOTHING about the injustice of folks who already have MILLIONS then get a lifetime pass of 2% tax while the rest of us are lucky to get away with TEN TIMES that.
And it is OBVIOUS you are FROTHING AT THE MOUTH TO JOIN THOSE MULTI MILLIONAIRES SO YOU TOO CAN NOT PAY TAXES OR VERY LITTLE.

1 truly do not get what you are saying. Are you saying that the billionaires already pay enough or that they should pay more. You should at least have a starting place when you have a discussion. You really write all over the place.
Or I could help you here, are you saying like Wildgrass that we just simply go to where the money is, like Bank robbers do. That is all I’m asking. Do you think that everyone should pay taxes as I believe.? about half of us, do not pay taxes. But those people that do not pay taxes still have the benefit of all that our society gives them. As my granny would say that’s just crazy. If we live on an island and one percent of us pay half of the costs of living onthe island, while the losers wander around, are you cool with that. Because I believe you are.
Have you decided to write like a human or continue raving like a lunatic minister at a tent revival?

I just reread my post here in above. It is very clear to you, yet you will write back like a Ubangi..

Everybody in the US pays taxes of some kind with the rich barely paying a higher percentage than their share of national income:

"The share of all taxes (including federal, state, and local taxes) paid by the rich only slightly exceeds the share of total income they receive. In 2024, the share of all taxes paid by the richest 1 percent of Americans (23.9 percent) will be slightly higher than the share of all income going to this group (20.1 percent).
The share of all taxes paid by the poor is just slightly less than the share of income received by the poor. The poorest fifth of Americans will pay 1.5 percent of their income in taxes, a slightly lower share than their share of all income (2.6 percent).
The tax system would appear even less progressive if this analysis included asset appreciation (unrealized capital gains), which mostly flows to the wealthy. Economists consider unrealized capital gains to be income, but the tax code does not."

Oh god. It’s Sunday. I should not have to clean up Marauder as well,

Approximately 40% of US households pay no federal individual income tax. The remaining 60% cover the entirety of the system.

C’mon man, life is short. SHouse semantical nut writings are enough fora Sunday.

@AverageJoe1
Oh, I do think that you may be shuffling some goal post around, given that this is a discussion about federal income tax??? Not tax paid on a pkg of slim Jim’s at the corner joint? Or a bottle of Mountain Dew?
You did mention something about issues yesterday, how about you stick to it yourself?

AJ: about half of us, do not pay taxes.

Your statement is wrong and moreover BS propaganda. The elites that control the right wing propaganda mills you 100% rely on for information skew the facts in this manner constantly.

Federal income taxes are not the only taxes people in the US pay; they are not even the only federal taxes people pay. Read my link and learn something.
