Lots of people were indicted, plead guilty and/or plead the 5th regarding 2016 Russian election interference. It was not a hoax.

I can't remember all the details as to why they went to prison or sentencing but all of them worked on his election campaign. And it's not like they were interns. Two of them were campaign manager. These names definitely fit the description of those who were indicted or plead guilty to crimes related to Russia election interference.

Since he served as president for four years, I am fairly certain that he knows national security secrets and has much of it stored in his own head. If Trump wanted to compromise national security, it seems like he'd have a lot to offer with or without documents. On the other hand, if he had some dirt on Biden that Biden didn't want to get out, the only way that could happen is if Trump retained physical artifacts.

George Papadopoulos (plead guilty to falsifying testimony about Russia and spent 12 days in the federal clink)

Rick Gates (guilty of lying about Russia)

Michael Cohen (guilty of lying about Russia)

That would be a potential defense for Trump. But I will say one thing, if the DoJ arrests Donald Trump, they will get the disturbance they deserve. This is all politics and most folks know this.
