WASHINGTON — Former President Donald J. Trump’s claim that he had declassified all of the documents that the F.B.I. seized in the search of his Florida home this month — including those marked as top secret — has heightened interest in the scope of a president’s power to declassify information.

That would be a potential defense for Trump. But I will say one thing, if the DoJ arrests Donald Trump, they will get the disturbance they deserve. This is all politics and most folks know this.

You’ve been told before that there is a process for declassifying documents, it’s not like a potus can just declassify stuff in his head whilst sitting on the crapper.
Disturbance by the trump party is just what the dems need for the midterms once the swing voter sees them with their masks fully off they will know them for the ultra right wing junta that you are trying to be, it’s all good.

You're not getting the big picture. Please allow me to explain:

Whether these documents were Classified, Top Secret, or rolls of toilet paper, they are the property of the US Government. Donald J Trump stole them, took them to Florida, and despite months of requests from the US Government Trump wouldn't give them back. Legal action was taken, and the property was found in the home of Donald J Trump. He is guilty of theft of US Government property. (To say the least!) Stop nit picking about what was classified and what was not and look at the big picture.

Assuming all you say is true (which is a big stretch because neither the FBI nor the news has any credibility these days), do you want to live in a country where the winning candidate arrests the losing candidate over trivial things?

Pretend like you can predict this might happen to someone other than Trump.

Would you have supported Nixon using the IRS to "audit" his political rivals in 1972? (After all, they shouldn't have anything to hide. Even Nixon opponents aren't above the law and it's the job of our elected officials to ensure the law is applied to them).

And what laws have you, yourself ever violated? (e.g. ever put a card in someone's mailbox without a stamp.) If it was minor and not repeated, chances are you wouldn't get caught. Would you welcome a rogue prosecutor scrutinizing your life eagerly trying to find some technicality? And would it be fair if he spent millions just to fish for a crime you may have committed?

At this point, it seems at most they'll have against Trump is some technicality that is trivial compared to what they could have against other politicians. But I'm not even convinced of that.

Generally, conservatives are in favor of law in order. But "fishing" for crimes using unlimited public funds against your political rival is not something that's going to end well.

and even served a subpoena to retrieve these documents.
As a last resort, in order to keep these documents secure,
a Federal Magistrate, issued a search warrant when The Govt.
showed probable cause that TRUMP was unlawfully
retaining 'Classified Documents.

It took me a while, but one thing I've learned is that we're all being lied to. That doesn't mean everything is a lie. What you're presenting here might be true.

But I don't need to see your link because I've already seen the claim asserted in other places.

Indeed. "Facts remain facts". But I've figured out that most of us don't have direct access to any facts regarding things of this nature. Although I can be certain we're being lied to, even that doesn't give me a direct path to the ultimate truth in regards to politics.

How many failed witch hunts have to occur before you begin to suspect that not all you're being told is true?

Edit: I literally just laughed out loud rereading the post. In 2022 with the Internet and media the way they are, a person suggests the need for skepticism and the response starts with "read the link".
