It's Faux Nooz, you numby. That's how it's spelled.
The conspiracy-minded always believe that the tiny niche outlets where they get their "information" somehow have direct access to the unvarnished Truth. This is not a controversial observation, and you need to understand that you are on that side of the fence, and the sane world (i.e. the vast majority) are on ...[text shortened]... h. Not you, not Metal Brain, and not Uncle Joe ranting and raving at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
You do not have your finger on the pulse of the Truth. Not you, not Metal Brain, and not Uncle Joe ranting and raving at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
I have a feeling these folks have learned not to say the nonsense out loud at the dinner table.
Oh, those cans over there? Those beers drank themselves, honey. Or.... maybe they aren't really beers. Did you see that YouTube clip by that guy? They're non alcoholic declassified beers. I was cooperating.... or the FBI might have planted them there. Or possibly I have every legal authority to drink and they're non-alcoholic aka harmless. OK there's alcohol but my doctor says it's fine and I have executive privilege to drink. My memoir requires me having these illegally obtained beers/documents. Anyways none of it matters because the Dems are ruining America.
Keep an open mind. Anything's possible, no matter the evidence.
@earl-of-trumps saidName another POTUS that has shown such blatant disregard for process and procedure. Trump has had a long life getting away with doing things his way on his terms, thumbing his nose at needing to do things by the book or following convention.
@jimm619
you don't do this to a former POTUS. I just can't imagine something like this happening to Jimmy Carter. Can you?
Trump has now fallen foul of the rules he has never learned to respect and all of his fanboys are butt-hurt. Boo hoo….!

@mott-the-hoople saidEVERYBODY in this country should fear that.
your NO ANSWER is telling...
lets cut to the chase...the DOJ/FBI is looking for records regarding crossfire hurricane...they fear what is going to happen when dems lose control
@techsouth
How does it feel to be totally hypnotized by a would be dictator, you know, your god king Trump?
It is clear Trump was right about one thing, if he actually DID shoot someone at noon on Times Square you would just say the dude deserved to die because my god king can do no wrong.
One thing that sticks out 100% clearly, if it was ANY dem POTUS stealing TS docs by the HUNDREDS and kept them in an unsecured location you and ALL of your zombie buddies would be SCREAMING TRAITOR, HANG THE SOB.
But Trump can do no wrong so we should just fall over and play dead when he also kills our democracy by the absolute nutters running now like Mastriano, a dude somewhat to the right of Ghengis Khan who if he wins here in Pa WILL set up his own electors who will vote his way or else.
Or no abortion no matter WHAT, Rape, incest, medical danger to the pregnant woman.
But OF COURSE a zombie like you would LOVE to see a would be dictator a REAL fascist get in power just like what would happen if god forbid your god king ever got back in power again.
Trump is so PROFOUNDLY corrupt the only thing that would be on his mind would be REVENGE against all his perceived enemies AND YOU KNOW THAT AS WELL ALSO.
AND you could also care less about the REAL threats to our national security.
I had a TS clearance and took that oath seriously.
You on the other hand sounds like you could care less what enemies know our secrets.
For instance, if those stolen docs had the names of informants and Trump won out and got all those docs made public and that informant just accidentally got killed in his home country and the rest of the world goes ' how can we ever trust the US by being an informant' or the like.
But NONE of that matters to little folks like you, Trump did it so he is RIGHT, AND above the law.
You make me frigging SICK to hear people like you with this sinister stance and you are actually American. Or are you? Whose side are you on? as the song goes?

@sonhouse saidYou are jumping in the middle of a conversation. Perhaps you should consider the context in which I was replying. Here is the quote: I want to live in a country where the rule of law means something, no matter who is in power. Theft of government property is still theft - no matter who does it.
@techsouth
What the FLOCK are you talking about? PARKING TICKETS?
You think attacks on our national security is the same as PARKING TICKETS?
I HELD A TS CLEARANCE and took it seriously.
CLEARLY you don't.
You just want to believe your god king can do no wrong and anything he claims to have declassified makes ALL of it ok.
I know one thing for CERTAIN:
If ...[text shortened]... QUAD IS WHAT HE NEEDS.
Go ahead, deny it. When you do, then tell me if Trump is above the law.
I
I brought up parking tickets among a few other things. You seized on the most trivial of the 4 or 5 things I listed. The idea of "the law is the law no matter what" seems to crop up against politicians we hate, but never those we like. Your mention of PARKING TICKETS over and over really demonstrates my point more than it refutes it.
You held a security clearance. Good. Likely you were involved in some task to which we owe gratitude.
But would you agree that it is fair to say that there is a difference between "selling the names of undercover agents to Russians" and say "failing to properly sign AND date the checkout slip when viewing a secret document." I'm not trying to say that's all Trump did, I'm just trying to content that all infractions are not equal.
You may try to blur them together, but I can assure you I would be angry for the former but not really angry for the second. And you can yell back at me all you want with caps lock on, that's not going to change.
Sure, a Lieutenant or Major in the Air Force may get fired for not doing the latter. But I am personally okay with a scenario where a president of our country (or former president) doesn't go to jail for failing to dot 'i's and cross 't's. If we find that he's selling names of agents to the Russians so they can be killed, I assure you I'll join you in your anger. As things stand now we are told there are classified documents that neither you nor I are likely ever going to see. And we are being asked to trust that the DOJ in power is not involved in a politically motivated nit-pick, but rather there is genuine and serious security risk (like the Russians are going to sneak past the Secret Service into Mar-Largo and take the documents).
If this had been done by a DEM POTUS you would be screaming to the top of your smoke addled lungs, TRAITOR, FIRING SQUAD IS WHAT HE NEEDS.
Well, we have an example of that with Hillary's email server. Not a POTUS, but a potential POTUS. What were you saying back in 2016? Personally, I didn't have much to say then. How consistent have YOU been? She'd have been a traitor if she sold names of secret agents to the Russians. She'd have been a criminal but not necessarily a traitor if she was using it to get rich by negotiating secret business deals. If she was doing neither of those then I'd think it reasonable that she be treated much more leniently under the law even if she technically broke the law. Do you disagree?
You just want to believe your god king can do no wrong and anything he claims to have declassified makes ALL of it ok.
Since he served as president for four years, I am fairly certain that he knows national security secrets and has much of it stored in his own head. If Trump wanted to compromise national security, it seems like he'd have a lot to offer with or without documents. On the other hand, if he had some dirt on Biden that Biden didn't want to get out, the only way that could happen is if Trump retained physical artifacts.
@techsouth saidBut if you actually followed his time in office you would know he was infamous for not attending NSC briefings and those he did attend he took on a tangent in order to talk about himself.

There’s a possibility these documents were taken in a fit of pique when he finally realised his time in the White House was over, or your defence of him may be in part correct, but it’s you right wingers who want to keep prejudging the situation rather than wait for the facts to make their usual way to the surface.
@kevcvs57 saidSince I don't know Trump personally, I'll admit that it is possible that he took documents in a fit of pique. I don't know. But also, the accusation that Trump only showed up to talk about himself could very easily be politically motivated hit piece journalism. (There has definitely been plenty of that whether or not this particular case is or not).

But I can observe seeming double standards in how the DOJ is handling Jan 6th protestors versus BLM protestors. I can observe that the FBI falsified emails to get FISA warrants against Trump. I can observe that the media buried the Hunter laptop story and that 50 current and former intelligence agents signed a document saying the laptop likely was "Russian Disinformation", and this right before a presidential election.
I also recall that Trump was impeached for asking Ukraine to look into possible Hunter Biden crimes. But Trump supporters are asked to trust unlimited fishing expeditions into all things Trump in hopes of finding some infraction.
I know that the media, when it wants to, can make an honest man look like a crook and make a crook look like an honest man. I know that I don't have any magic such that I can automatically know which is which. My stance is that I am skeptical of any political narrative at the national level (for those inclined to reply, I hope you will not overlook the fact that I am including that Trump might be substantially more corrupt than it seems to his supporters. Please no more replies accusing me of worshiping him).
With the things I can observe, I can say it is reasonably possible that Trump is lying. It is also reasonably possible that this is a corrupt law enforcement activity. And at the end of the day, I am not even sure ordinary folks like us will ever know for sure which it is.
@earl-of-trumps saidIf documents are declassified why leave them in a folder marked Top Secret? Why not give them back when asked?

what ever happened to the DOJ not commenting on ongoing cases? hmmm
it should be easy to see what this corrupt cabal is doing. The same people that got caught and are being investigated for the russia hoax are the same ones doing this raid. planting evidence is not hard to believe
the documents they look for are the russia hoax docs the doj/fbi were involved in.
