I cannot imagine writing about stats. I’m a conversational, kind of guy, and if we were all sitting around the fireplace at the hunting cabin, we would not be using numbers in our conversation. And that is all I have to say about that.
Except that anyone of us that might start getting detailed in the numbers would be regarded with disdainful surmise. You and Marauder would be stared at..🫣

If 2025 are important then what are the figures for 2025. You did not quote figures. You and Maurauder quoted an article that stated certain violent crimes went down by certain percentages. Where are the actual numbers? I quoted some figures for murders .. actual figures. This is how to quote data. If you cannot get it then just say that.

I have no interest in the second question. I have no interest in Trump, or Biden or any other political player. Dont care. I am only interested in information that can probably impact on my understanding of world affairs.

As for why Trump is doing this, Congruent did post something about DC having quite a bit of squatters and tents in certain areas near the White House. Maybe you can address him.

Actually I quoted the exact number of all violent crimes in DC in 2024 according to the White House!

True, I did a little simple math to compare it to prior years. I'm sure you could find a third grader with a calculator app on their smartphone to verify the fogures.

Ok. I will have a look at it. If DC is in a mess around the White House, then it is a good idea to clean it up.

It might come as a surprise for the typical American, but people outside of the US have very little interest in the details of your politics and economy, neither are we generally interested in your celebrities etc etc. The only time we get interested is when something you do over there impact significantly on our lives here, otherwise Trump and Biden can kill each other and Republicans and Democrats can have a civil war... all we do is get the popcorn out and have a good laugh.

As a side note - prior to the US election, I did comment on Trump v Harris. My personal view was, and still is that, the world is at war, and it is not a good idea to have a woman, especially a weak childish woman at that, as the commander-in-chief of the world's superpower. There are some strong female personalities in the past that I did admire, such as Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, Indira Ghandi etc. American women for some reason dont have balls like these women. Things are going to get rough, so personally Im glad Trump is there. Maybe Trump is not good for America, but now he is the right person for the world. .. my opinion [goes without saying].

Congress controls the budget for DC.

Why not set some aside for finding housing and other housing solutions, as well as more shelters to keep the homeless off the streets, perhaps more soup kitchens near the shelters, instead of wholesale loading them on boxcars and dumping them in the outback of Kentucky or somewhere?
