But keep talking about an irrational fear of AI going rogue.

Trump is still killing more people than AI.
Venezuela, Iran and now Cuba? How many fargin wars does he have to start before we go so far into debt we all become slaves? Debt is a form of economic slavery. But they have you distracted by an illogical AI scare that is 3 years old. They sat on this story for 3 years!

Great idea. Liberate the Cubans.

Next, North Korea.

If it becomes necessary, yes. Cubans have suffered for over 60 years under Castro and subsequent moronic leaders. Time to remove them. Cubans will be dancing in the street.

From Claude AI :

Cuba's government doesn't allow independent, government-authorized political polling on the island, so every number circulating comes from methodologically imperfect workarounds, each skewed in different directions. Surveys conducted inside Cuba, of the general population:

An International Republican Institute survey conducted on the island (though this dates to the Raúl Castro era, not current) found 62% support for a change to a democratic system, and 82% for a transition to a free-market economy.
More recently, independent outlets like CiberCuba and El Toque have run large-scale surveys getting tens of thousands of responses (one drew 41,658), finding extremely high figures —
- 80–95% support for political/economic change,
- 94–99% dissatisfaction with the current system.

Important caveat on those recent, high numbers: these are self-selected online surveys, not random samples — participants opted in via social media, meaning they systematically over-represent people with internet access, younger and more urban respondents, and — critically — people already inclined to voice discontent. Even the survey organizers acknowledge this: one independent commentator quoted directly cautioned that "it's very challenging for such a survey to produce reliable numbers" given self-selection and urban/university skew. So treat the 80–95% figures as an upper-bound estimate from an unrepresentative but genuinely large sample, not a scientifically valid national percentage.

Cuban Americans in South Florida (a different population — diaspora, not island residents): 79% support some form of U.S. military intervention aimed at regime change, per an April 2026 Bendixen & Amandi/Tarrance Group poll. This is a useful data point on diaspora sentiment but tells you little about opinion on the island, where people can't speak as freely and where family/economic ties to the current system are different.

Across every source, the drivers cited are strikingly consistent regardless of methodology:

Economic collapse— chronic shortages, a currently severe energy/electricity crisis, and food scarcity are cited repeatedly as the proximate trigger for discontent (one survey found 83% wanted the government to step down specifically over its failure to resolve the energy crisis).
Lack of political voice — 95% of one survey's respondents said citizens have no influence over government decisions.
Generational/systemic fatigue — decades of one-party rule, restricted speech, and a state-controlled economy that many respondents say has failed to deliver a viable standard of living.

Please elaborate, Suzianne. What do you mean? I cannot imagine what you mean, seriously. Trump and 330M Smericans (not including the illegal alien invaders) are perched here looking our over a 90-mile spanse to pitiful people who we want to see free. It is that simple. Trump, yes he has a vision to do things such as this. Ask Shavixmir if NLands has any plans in the works to help other countries. Ask him. It will be like asking Sonhouse to 'identify Trump corruption", which he cannot. Neither will Shav have an answer.
All of the non-descript countries should get hell out of the way of the USA and let us do what God put us here for. Just quit talking , and watch.
Like we watched Trump pull off another perfect coup of Greenland.
His secret, the king negoitator? Asked for more than he really wanted, and.........and....follow me......he got what he really wanted, while all the ninnies on this Forum were speculating somewhere in left field about a Takeover!!!!
He had no such intention.
Now, everyone apologize. To Trump. The Greenland Agreement? Keeps Russia and the Chinee out of this hemisphere.

Please re-read this post.

Oh,,,,,my point? To Chicken Little, who authored this thread?
YOU were one of the ones lambasting Trump for even thiniking about chattting with Denmark/Greenland about anything. And if you did suggest a topic, you were making them up, because, like now on Iran, you have no idea about Trump's intentions there.
So settle down Chicken Little, and write Trump a note.."Well Done, Mr President! Now since you've got the Venezuelan thingy done, let us free the Cubans!!! Our children will have a new resort to go to, rather than the cheesy Sandals,,,,,,,90 miles from here in the Caribbean!!!!"

Have you polled the Cubans to ask if they would dance in the streets?
Post a poll or admit you are making it up.

If this is true :
80–95% support for political/economic change,
- 94–99% dissatisfaction with the current system.
Then they would be dancing in the street.

Your opening post is rubbish. Cubans are among the most unhappy people on the planet, and all because of that idiot Castro and his family of dunces.

Cuba could easily be a tourist paradise and the people there would make really good money.

They just need to overthrow the corrupt shythole government that is the same type that plagues all southern countries.

Here are couple little facts the outside world does not know..
- Cuban Teachers earn an avg of $12 to $15 US per month
- Cuban Doctors earn a bit more around $25 to $30 US per month.
They do get some free stuff like flour, eggs, Chicken, but the long lines for this is horrendous, and its like one chicken per family per week.

Ever heard of how Cuban doctors are so good and they work all over the world? Here is the back story to that : The host country hiring the Cuban doctor has to pay their salary to the Cuban govt, who in turn will pay the Cuban doctor. So Eg - 10 Cuban doctors work in Jamaica for 3 months @ $3000 US each = $90,000 US. The money moves from Jamaica to Cuba and the Cuban Govt pays the 10 doctors their $90 each [30x3]= $900 US. The Cuban Govt pockets the remaining $89,100 US.

The cost of living is vastly different in poor countries. It even varies in certain US states. What matters is how much that will buy in Cuba, not here or in California. Teachers get lousy pay here in the states.

Cuban doctors are some of the best in the world. They are proud of it for good reason.
