If you just stick to capitalist economics in the US, most people won’t suffer bile during meals.
However, as soon as you stroll into morality, ethics, your warped vision of socialism, philosophy or basically anything other than US capitalism, you are so wrong, it will put people off their steaks and chicken.
Imagine being happy if a friend leaves a dinner, because they can’t stomach your opinions. What the fukk does that say about you?

If convicted of felonies, yes, jail is usual sentence. However, judges have discretion, they can sentence a convicted felon to some other punishment, particularly if the accused shows genuine remorse. In Trump’s case, I doubt he ever felt anything genuine; he’s a shallow, egocentric man, all sizzle, no steak.
