According to betting markets, Joe Biden has only about a 1 in 7 chance of being re-elected President (Harris is actually higher). Do you think that's an overestimate or underestimate?

Second, aside from Trumpists who want to face Biden in the general, is there anyone out there who WANTS Biden to be nominated? I'll be fascinated to see if we get someone.

It is impossible to say how accurate such numbers are. Pollters have erred before and have hit the mark before.

I would have liked Biden to establish a person who would have taken over. On the other hand I am a German living in germany, so my opinion is not really relevant.

As a Canadian, living in Canada, I agree with your “wish”.

I can't imagine anything more worthless than betting market odds four months before an election.

Biden doesn't get to choose his own successor (unless he resigns).

The Democratic party was mind-numbingly irresponsible in ignoring the signs and in not putting forth serious primary challengers.

I think the numbers misleading, since the vote split is concentrated on the Democrats side

I don't think you'll find a lot of enthusiasm for Biden. But a lot of people think he's the most effective candidate and/or not worth the effort switching out at this point.

Trump's Project 2025 will sink his campaign. Biden and the Dems don't need to do anything.

Q: Do you think that's an overestimate or underestimate?

A: I think 1 in 7 pretty accurate. I like what Biden has accomplished as President, but secretly cringed when he announced running for reelection. He should have let younger democrats have a chance to run.

Q: Is there anyone out there who WANTS Biden to be nominated?

A: I do now, simply because it's too late for another Democrat to mount an effective campaign. We have to go with what we have and hope for the best.

P.S. Methinks we should expect another round of obsession over crowd size, romantic relationships with tyrants and dictators, vengeance against any and all political opposition, trashing of our relationships with our European allies, Ex models and TV guys replacing the experienced professionals we now have in cabinet positions, increased attacks on Jews, Muslims, African Americans, and LBGTQ folk - and don't forget a designated buxom hottie to steam his pants, and perform other "special services"

Yeah, those dam crowds at rallies. I just hate them. I am an ‘empty field’ kinda guy myself.

I wouldn't put much stake in a number, but many people so loathe Trump, both as a person and a politician (who at least admits that he's not a politician), that they would vote for almost anyone else.

Assuming Biden does run again, people will be voting for his VP more than himself.

Does anyone want Biden? Apart from Jill Biden? 😀 If she has any influence over him, she should be telling him the strain will kill him.

I don't think Biden has done a terrible job, but he's not done well convincing Americans of that. He certainly failed to make a convincing case during the debate.

Zeihan thinks it's Biden's election to lose. I'd take 1 in 7 odds.

I doubt Biden can win, but putting a number on it is difficult. What if Kennedy can manage to pull enough votes away from Trump Biden pulls off an unlikely win?

Biden could resign from the presidency so Kamala would take his place. If not it could be a disaster. Look what happened when Humpfrey was selected. Look who was assassinated.

The DNC is a privately owned corporation that makes up their own rules as they go and don't have to follow their own rules. They rigged the primary election against RFK jr.

Only because Biden refuses to step down. Then the 45% of democrats that were eager to throw Biden under the bus fell back in line when they found out racial jungle Joe has a choice in the matter.

Here is a solution: IMPEACH JOE BIDEN
....or TRUMP FOR 4 YEARS.

#1...you must ask these questions because you have been mislead by the statev run media
no need for any other questions

only fools would still be for democrats after all this...nothing is true with them...but I digress, look at the followers, they are the same...devoid of reality
