See my first post where I agreed with the OP. I didn't "believe" the college, obviously.

There was nothing wrong with the professor's email.
Did you even bother reading it?

I did read it and I agree it wasn't that bad.

But the issue was not the professor being fired over grading black students, it was because the they believed the email response wasn't becoming of their standards. That's an entirely different issue from what the OP claims.

Fifty bucks says the black students that wanted to skip finals due to their trauma or whatever were probably getting a D or F anyway.

I doubt UCLA cares about what right wingers think is the proper way for professors to address student concerns.

I imagine they do care about what their students think in this regard, however.

If the local McDonald's got 20,000 complaints about how one of their cashiers addressed customers, I imagine it might very well discipline that cashier even if you and the Earls of the world thought they had done nothing wrong.
