@sonhouse saidWhy would you suggest there would be no legal entry into the USA? No one on the forum has ever said any like that. You see how your posts just drift into oblivion.
@AverageJoe1
And of course it will be shown that just one assault rifle will not be near enough so the politics of it will ensure there will be thousands or tens of thousands of them on the border ready to shoot 3 yo children it won't matter to the frothing at the mouth zombies ITCHING for an excuse to kill people.
BTW, if there is no legal entry into the US tell me WHO WI ...[text shortened]... o just be joking since he really has the heart of Americans first and foremost on his agenda, right?
@AverageJoe1
You are the one tauting the idea of a closed border, not me. You could care less WHY folks come here and would not give a frigging DIME to help them in their own country where girls are forced into prostitution and the boys forced to be cartel soldiers so the situation will remain because of the zombie republicans thinking they know EVERYTHING about immigration.
@sonhouse saidDo you think we should help the pitful Haiti? How about Chad where they have nothing and pee in their drinkiing water? The Mexicans we see every day (I know, they want a better life.....so do I...) are very fit as far as I can tell......but they want us to support them.

Why not support Haiti? What about Chad? Guinea, Mazanbizue and Mali? Niger lives on $1.50 a day. Why, 'You are the one who ignores these countries, not me!!!"
Geez, Sonhouse, your post will not win any awards.
Hey, answer us? Why Mexico, but not those people? Shouldn't we send them a few hundred thousand? After, of course, we pay off loans of losers.
You will not answer this question. If you do I will quit hounding you about not answering what you would do if a man swam against your 16 yr old little daughter.
@AverageJoe1
I am talking about where the most folks are coming from and that is CENTRAL AMERICAN not Haiti. You refuse to even acknowledge the cartels are running most of central america as we speak and we know good and well you would not give a dime to help them shuck the shackles of cartel thuggery.
The ONLY thing you think is what your god king Trump told you and that is all you will EVER think, they are child rapers, drug dealers, human trafficers and the like, you don't see humanity an ANY of them because your mind is addled by Trump.
@sonhouse saidSo you want to supprt the people from Central America where they seem to be well nourished and simply 'looking for a better life". (So am I).

The people from those desolate countries have it worse, why do you just HATE the haitians and the people of Mali? You obviously hate them.
?Trump?

"An increased number of Haitians have also fled their country, attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border amid ongoing gang violence, disease outbreaks, and political instability that has worsened in recent months. The limited opportunities for requesting asylum beyond the border and new restrictions on Haitian immigration in countries like Brazil and Chile have prompted many to take the risks as well."

@averagejoe1 saidNo, "the law" doesn't say that - Jeff Sessions did overturning an immigration judge's ruling in 2014. Fortunately, sanity prevailed in 2021:
Opinions?? The law says to not allow a woman in who says her husband beats hell out of her every day in San Jose Alliendo. She has to go back to San Jose Alliendo. That is the law. You quote the law a lot, I don't get your aversion to it when it does not fit your narrative.
Then you broadly say 'immigration good'. Really? Do you watch the news? Were you raised a ...[text shortened]... is strangling us. Californians have to insure illegals.
Let this para stand as my valid points.
"Attorney General Merrick B. Garland recently reversed a 2018 Trump administration decision that had made it almost impossible for people to win asylum in the United States if they were fleeing domestic violence in their home countries.
“Many people were likely deported back to their deaths because they were deported to countries where they had been very severely victimized and abused,” Leidy Perez-Davis, Senior Policy and Immigration Counsel at Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project, said about the 2018 ruling."
https://19thnews.org/2021/06/the-19th-explains-why-domestic-violence-survivors-have-a-better-chance-of-getting-asylum/
Sending a victim back to face further domestic violence and perhaps death when they could become useful members of our society was an insane policy based on nothing more than ignorant bigotry.
You made no "points" besides this incorrect one. I've already shown that the US has accepted far higher levels of immigration as compared to population in the past even when the country had less resources, so how is "immigration strangling us"? Just because Hannity, Breitbart and Newsmax tell you something doesn't make it true.
Present asylum law allows anyone who crosses the border, even illegally, to apply for asylum and has done so for decades. As I stated in another thread:
no1: Allowing those present in the US or at a point of entry to apply for asylum was a feature of the 1979 Refugee Act. It passed the Senate 85-0 (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/96-1979/s262) and the House 328-47 (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/96-1979/h670).
And some laws should be changed. It's stupid to make asylum seekers wait 150 days before they can even apply for authorization to work; a very high percentage of them could get jobs in the present favorable economy and thus reduce any costs housing and feeding them now requires (though this is a minor social investment compared to the long term economic returns).
And I also believe we should return to the idea that someone wanting to immigrate here should be presumed able to unless there's some reason to deny them rather than the present presumption that they are unfit until proven otherwise. Given the undoubted economic benefits and necessity of immigration for the US this policy is cutting off our nose to spite our face.
@no1marauder saidWe all know that ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY countries' citizens are entering without passports. Why, I think one of them murdered someone in their country last year, but hey, let him in.

So Marauder, the Haitians that have worked their way in, we all know about. I am asking Sonhouse why he hates the people in Northern Africa, who have much much much much much much much Less than do the fat people with cell phones walking into Biden's arms.
@no1marauder saidOK,, I didn't know that some liberal minded person gotten his hands into it and Change The Law!! Imagine that. Now, if. you could just get rid of that pesky Electoral College!

Oh, since you are up on current law, what law says that we should pay millions of dollars to get these folks all fat and happy in the uSA?? My children are looking for 'a better life' too, can they get some? Do you realize how silly you sound? Do you? Realize how silly your supporting this crap makes you look? Can you answer my simple question:??
Can my son go to the southern border and walk up to the card table and say " I would like to apply for money and also a place to stay in New York City, preferably a nice hotel. I am looking for a better life'.
Marauder, pontificate on that one. You will not have an answer. I mean, do those illegals have more rights than my son does?
I don't need a better life, but my son does. How about it. A link will be fine.
Standing by.
@averagejoe1 saidStop lying; in the other thread you said you don't want any migrants in.

So pretending to care about Africans (who prefer to emigrate to Europe anyway) is dishonest.
@no1marauder saidI want about a million migrants to come to the wall and ask for admittance. I may hire a few if they have skills. I have a lumber yard.

Present law/policy does two things as I have already explained:
A) It allows anyone who reaches the border to apply for asylum;
B) It doesn't allow them to even apply for an authorization to work in the United States for 150 days.
So putting these two policies together, it's obvious that those applying for asylum must be housed somewhere. But even at that, this is a small social investment (do you know what those words mean?) compared to the economic benefits of immigration I've already shown you.
So stop pretending this is about money.
@averagejoe1 saidYou can't; present law/policy says they can't apply for authorization to work for 150 days.
I want about a million migrants to come to the wall and ask for admittance. I may hire a few if they have skills. I have a lumber yard.
So what did you say I said?
@no1marauder saidWhy is it stupid? They have a chance to join the world’s greatest country (it is to them), they should say thanks for the privilege. (you know it is not a right, I presume?). There is nothing stupid about it . You speak from the lib position that we owe them something? Fewer days to apply? How about some food trucks for them, maybe entertainment. I would not be surprised.

Maybe 150 days is not enough, are you aware of how many people there are trying to do this? Maybe you are not. Liberals do not have common sense.
At the current rate, we could have around 11 or 12 million new citizens(yes, they will be citizens, full-fledged, and ready to vote, no lie about it). You say here how they will be working and producing. That, it would result in reduced costs. Costs? What costs? Do you mean what they cost us now? But why are we PAYING those costs now? So, they will in effect allow us to recoup the costs we pay now?
Liberals have no common sense. You cannot not even explain in common language, why we are having these costs. We were minding our own business, they all arrived at our border, and we have to start paying for them. Liberals have no common sense.
Your Pollyanna is quite confident….’ They could get jobs in the present favorably economy, blah blah blah.” if I thought that were true, I would probably agree with you. It ain’t gonna happen. We are talking dependents here, marauder. Dependents.
Makes my skin crawl.
