Yeah, you know so much about my son and his kids. He is on SSI with CP, he has trouble walking and his wife is making all of 14 bucks an hour to support the kids and his SSI goes directly to the landlord which is only about 1K a month and his wife has to come up with near 800 a month on top of it.
So kiss my ass, you don't know what you are talking about.

$14/hr, sounds about right for changing batteries.

I myself am bringing in a lot more than that, it is a shame the conditions my daughter in law as to live with but there is not much I can do about that.
If I am asked to do a menial job I do it, I TAUGHT ion beam physics in a classroom at Intel in Jerusalem where I worked for years but that means nothing to you since you think all I did was change batteries.
So fukking what if I was asked to fix minor stuff, I fixed major stuff for decades and am proud of my work so tell me YOUR achievements in your job.

You had no qualms about putting him down and then claim you know nothing about him.

You will explain, I am sure, how I 'put him down'. Maybe you extrapolate and embellish my saying that you might suggest living arrangements which suit his situation....you will note that 'his situation' was never stated, and irrelevant anyway.
He doesn't like landlord or the rent, he has a choice to leave. I think the issue was thus....choice, one of my favorites.
