Has anyone else seen this movie? If so, what are your thoughts?
If not, I suggest you should definately make it a priority. I saw it just last night with my father, and I have to admit that I cried and had to look away at parts. It's simply biographical in nature and lacks the politics that seem to plague our entertainment today.

The scenes on board can't be a completely literal rendering as there were no survivors, so, yes they had to take some liberties with it. Less than in most any other Hollywood film i've ever seen.
No famous actors are in the film.. no one I recognized at all as familar. Arnold didn't show up in the final scene and save the day.
It was worth the price of admission IMO, never lagged from the opening moments 'til the climactic scene.. fast paced.
Originally posted by General PutzerDo you know why Hollywood can't be trust? Look at all the actors/actresses that said they would leave the country if GWB was elected. Yet, those cowards, filthy blood sucking pieces of garbage who wouldn't know what work was to begin with, stayed IN THE US. That tells you about their character because they don't have any.

The story of Hurricane may just be the truth. It never would have been revisited without a lot of people taking an interest in his case. One thing for sure.. he never would have gotten out without a very good arguement. He was convicted, sentenced and buried away for years .. forgotten.
The 1st thing I remember that brought attention to his plight came from Bob Dylan and the song "The Story of the Hurricane".. nice song, good violen work by the redheaded chick.
I saw Carter (Hurricane) fight on TV waaaaay back when. He was a brutal man who simply destroyed people. Like a 160lb Mike Tyson .. with boxing skills added on.
It was a time of massive racial strife in the USA.. just prior to the 60s push for civil rights. He was an angry blackman beating crap out of everything white they put in front of him ... with glee.
Originally posted by jammerNO!!!! The movie "Hurricane" was a complete work of fiction from start to finish, it's depressing how easily people are taken in by something they see on the big screen, assuming that it's just gotta be true.

So you saw it in a movie and you think it's all true?
Wow.
Originally posted by AmauroteAs someone else has said, some things had to be left to the imagination since no one survived. However, the point at which they entered the cockpit, is where the actual transcripts from the voice recorder were used. Again, very powerful. Being there as the plan slams into the ground. Wow.

Definately worth the time and money. Check it out.

"it's depressing how easily people are taken in by something they see on the big screen"... and don't foget those that search for a webpage .. ANY webpage that will support their views .. biased as much as any moviegoer.
So your read it on some tools webpage and you buy it as "a factual report"?
BTW, I never said the film was a "factual report" .. it was a movie and of course it was dramatized for max effect and to sell tickets.
You, on the other hand say your link is "a factual report" when in truth it's just another biased a-hole selling himself rather than truth.
