@Mott-The-Hoople saidBoo. You still buy into the myth of trickle down economics, which was made up to funnel tax dollars from the middle class to the wealthy.
"Investing in job growth means giving rich people money"
no it doesnt
@wildgrass saidI havent said anything about it...why do you create this?

@Great-King-Rat saidWhat if you were to adjust it to inflation? After all, 40 trillion doesn't buy what it used to. LOL

Of which 11,6 under Trump’s watch.
Let’s all come together and try to find a way to blame Obama for this.

@Metal-Brain saidThe entire GDP of the USA is "only" $32 trillion and it's growing at a much slower pace than the debt number.

He had to fill up Air Force One to fly over and get the $1.4T in investments from other countries. So that probably cost six or 8000 in fuel ….it adds up, you know.
But it will all come back, it is like making investments. Getting rid of Iran was making an investment, as you will see in the future. Then there is ...[text shortened]... Strategic bitcoin, reserve created

@Mott-The-Hoople saidYou didn't read my post or your own link to the data. The yearly deficit number was $1.5 trillion and then the Republicans passed both a tax cut and a big spending bill purely along partisan lines and they knew for a fact that this would grow the debt and push the yearly deficit number over $2 trillion. And you say that Democrats bear equal blame, none of whom voted for the bill?
the facts are not what you say
it is BOTH parties...aka the swamp
why dont you join Trump in getting rid of them?
instead you further their propaganda to blame it on one side or the other...meanwhile it keeps growing
Crazy pills.

@AverageJoe1 saidThe interpretation is that the Republicans in America are the sole cause of the debt because they operate under the assumption that government can spend infinitely without having to pay its bills.

OR< are you speaking only of the Republicans since Jan of 2024?
@AverageJoe1 saidNo that was a one time COVID relief bill and it was only needed because of the extremely dumb COVID relief bill passed by Trump Republicans that gave hundreds of billions of money to wealthy people so they could buy yachts and stuff. Remember the PPP? As I said earlier, ine thing Biden could have done better during his term would have been to repeal all of Trump's reckless spending from 2017-2019.

The one big beautiful bill added more debt than biden's whole term, and it was not COVID relief. The Republicans are passing permanent spending bills and massive tax relief at the same time, ballooning the debt permanently all by themselves.
@wildgrass saidBefore y'all carry on with your opinions and big plans, like the list in the OP, i assume that the majority of you have little if any holdings, such as a house, real estate, property, savings, money in stocks, such as that? Be cause you would LOSE all of that if socialism prevails.

I am not asking you personally, but I assume that those who vote for all this literally DO want changes regarding a big change in what people can own, for lack of a better way to say it.
Do you realize all this, or am I off base? I like having my own home, rather than the government having it, or the govt giving some of my assets to other people, marx stuff, you see.

Reagan started it, and all Republican presidents since then have followed his lead. Yes, Biden passed one temporary COVID relief bill that raised the debt level but that is peanuts compared to the rest of it. Massive tax cuts that only benefit the wealthy, contribute to income inequality, and add trillions to the debt. It's not a both parties issue, it is always Republicans. You can't admit that so you pivot to socialism.
