Why are you unwilling to discuss your position? You brought it up. Why bring up a topic that's going to get shot down without even trying to explain where you're coming from? It just makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about and are just throwing a temper tantrum. Of course if all you want to do is vent, go ahead, but if you won't defend your position it just shows everyone that you are probably wrong.

Ah. I hadn't come across this Amendment before.

Which if the 42 states that ratified it do you think didn't really ratify it?
I think one of the sticking points has something to do with different punctuation marks in the various documents ratified by the states vs congress... or something trivial like that.

I know, but that's a dumb argument.

Well, if you couldn't use dumb arguments then you might as well delete this forum. 🙂

You can use dumb arguments. I can criticize them. You can defend them. That's free speech! Except for the fascist mods (just kidding, don't put me in there again 😲)

Like i said, you can read about it with all the pros and cons and make up your own mind. I raelly have no opinion on it anymore. I'm too mellow to get into it. I'm currently finishing off a bottle of Riunite Lambrusco. I'm a nice drunk and i love you very much, 10^3.Do you like Lambrusco? I love it! I love everyone and every thing. You can take that to the bank.I like Jagermeister also, but it's too expensive and you can't get it in gallon jugs.

The US has blown up their fare share of "innocents".

Does it make any difference if you use a car bomb to blow up a convoy of US troops and alos take out a marketplace at the same time, or if you use a Tomohawk cruise missle to take out a safe house and blow up a market place at the same time.

Both result in dozens of innocent people dying, yet we label the ones fighting an occupation "terrorists", and the ones doing the occupation and killing innocents as what, "heroes"??

500,000 innocent people in Iraq have been killed...and it isn't from car bombs 😕

It just depends which side you are on. We consider our fighters heroes and the multinational force we are fighting consider themselves the heroes.

So you can pick for yourself who the hero is or chose neither.

The difference is that the US doesn't blow up it's own innocents, the Terrorists do.

Where did you get the 500,000 from?

Are you saying the terrorists killed that many of their own people?

No, i'm saying 500,000 people have died as a result of this war and it's not just from car bombs killing people. US killings, economic sanctions, lack of infrastructure rebuilding, poor conditions etc.

I don't know any country that would agree to be "democratized" if it meant half a million of them would have to die first.

I could not find the 500,000 quote, but the one link did say 556 civilians were killed by our troops in the 4th year, 300 in the 3rd year, 6-7 thousand at the start of the war, but a total of some 65,000 civilians died.
Who killed the other, say, 50,0000?

One of the links provided in that post says ~70,000.

Who provides links that blatantly contradict the point they're supposed to be supporting?

Your not supposed to actually look at his links, just take his word for it.

You must know that the US military does NOT like collateral damage, but it does help to stay out of their way.
