Trump lied that he won the 2020 election. And then he committed insurrection and treason to try to stay in office. 😆

He is not the President because these actions disqualify him from ever seeking public office again. He is a Pretender. 😆

Public officials are employees of We The People. No government official has ANY right to lie to their employers, i.e. to us. 😆

If I had lied to my boss, I'd have been sacked immediately. That's common sense. Contract violations for gummint officials - like lying - should result in immediate termination. There is no need to wait for an election! The lie came AFTER th ...[text shortened]... tries, an elected official caught in a lie resigns immediately. That's the way it should be here. 😆
Then dump should have resigned 50,000 times.

ha, Back in to where? Their house?😂
You mean the house they probably lost because the evil Trump fired them?

So this is how much they 'saved' by firing all those workers:

"It's difficult to determine the exact amount of money saved by the government from the layoffs, as the estimates vary depending on the source and the specific calculations used. However, some sources suggest that a 10% reduction in the federal workforce could save about $250 billion over the next ten years. Other sources suggest that eliminating all federal civilian employees (excluding postal service) could save approximately $270 billion annually. Additionally, some estimates indicate that firings, re-hirings, lost productivity, and paid leave associated with government layoffs could cost upwards of $135 billion this fiscal year."

So not even CLOSE to the TWO Trillion touted by Musk as to how much money was saved by that atrocious firing rampage.

And you won't EVEN want to go to the idea of how much less efficient the government runs now with so many fired. Long lines EVERYWHERE, VA, SS, Medicaid, Snap and the like.
Yep, a HUGE improvement.

Let me get this straight. Since the 'savings' were a few billion dollars being paid to employees that were determined to be useless, then you are saying what the hell, let us just keep them in their offices doing nothing and forget the few billion......because,,,what? They need jobs?

What are you saying man? Say it straight out."The govt should keep people on even if they are unnecessary, so they can raise families and buy cars and vacations without worry."

Is Marauder saying that tariffs will not happen? He speaks like that professor nomenclature I wrote about, may take reading it a time or two.
But if I do read it right, he is saying that, after a few reads, and the first paragraph being here nor there, that tariffs will not last.

They will last.
Actually I was saying it's up to the courts though I found the trade court's decision very well-reasoned and strongly backed by precedent. I found it somewhat ironic that the court relied on the right wing created "major questions doctrine" which conservatives on the SCOTUS used several times against Biden administration policies which seemed clearly authorized by the wording of a statute but the SCOTUS claimed "well Congress couldn't really have meant THAT."

As I said in the other thread:

The unanimous decision by the three judge panel is here: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cit.17080/gov.uscourts.cit.17080.55.0.pdf

While Judge Katzmann was appointed by President Obama, the other two judges were appointed by Republican Presidents - Judge Restani by President Reagan in 1983(!) and Judge Reif by President Trump himself in 2019.

Maybe you could enlighten us by giving your analysis of why that decision is wrong (reading it would help but I know you hate homework).

YOU believe those folks were useless BECAUSE your LORD Trump said so.
Tell me, what criteria did Trump use to judge they were useless and could be fired with ZERO effect on the efficient running of that agency?
The answer to that is again, ZERO. Just throw a dart at a dart board, and it says, CUT 22% and THAT is the extent of the deep research into what that agency needs to efficiently do their job.

There was no review of the total work force and a careful check to see if some can be fired or retired. NONE of that.
FIRE THOSE JERKS.
NOW.
That is NOT how you run government, well, unless the president already thinks of himself as a king.
Which Trump CERTAINLY does. For instance his lawyers arguing a case at SCOTUS when asked if Trump obeys court orders, and they answered MOST of them.
So Trump thinks he can ignore at least SOME court orders otherwise the lawyers would have said YES SIR, he obeys ALL court orders.
You can see just how well he is obeying even SCOTUS orders, which last month issued this: FACILITATE getting Garcia back to the US. SUPREME COURT order.
Do you see Garcia back in the US?
NO and we are unlikely to see him anytime in the 21st century unless REAL political pressure is put on the corrupt Trump.

Homework? It is beyond that. It is a subject whereupon it would take a semester to study it!!!!!!!!!! I did open and begin reading it, waiting for some substance, and it came to the section BACKGROUND. My caregiver (not really) came'a runnin when she heard my anguish, slamming the computer shut.
I am now outside sitting under the dogwood tree.

Get that Yes-boy him/her guy to study it, and if y'all can prepare the Pros and Cons, then we will take sides. You can start by saying SOCTUS is wrong when the 9 of their learned minds got together. (They could be conferring with Metalbrain for all we know). (But we never know, do we. So, we trust in elected officials, or,, or, or, we wander around with posters and bull horns.)
I think I will get a sign, "Boomb iran, Wipe out Gaza," and have a feeling of satisfaction, because I know that people like sue have read my sign. But don't you see, it has zero effecr, and then I realize that, and drown my sorrows with a nice Chianti.

Sorry I must dissect your posts. No, Trump did not say that those folks are useless...., the brilliant DOGE employess saw all the waste and disclosed it. Why are you not happy about that? Why are ALL of you in lockstep knocking DOGE>????

I don't know the criteria that was used to determine their findings. I predict all will be fine. You , chicken little ,predict hell on earth.
You know, when everyone saw how Biden was costing america so much money with inflation, etc, the responsible ones set money aside for rough times. I guess I can say these are the rough times. I hope you had advised everyone to be self reliant when they saw Bidenomics wasting money. NOw, tthey cn weather this storm, which will be over soon.
Why are people investing in America, SHouse???

You seriously think Trump would have corrected Musk if he thought good old Elon was WRONG?

Sorry, when you said "They [Trump's 10% across the board tariffs]will last" I thought you had some actual reasonable basis to make such a statement and this being a "Debates" forum, I thought you might want to discuss them.

Since this is clearly not the case, I apologize for trying to force you to actually think for a change.

I could not say. I DO know he finds firing people easy, and that BIDEN NEVER FIRED ONE PERSON! So, T could fire Elon , but he like genius , so prob would not .

AvgJoe, Musk's dollars could not buy voters in Wisconsin.

Democrats’ win in Wisconsin court race also is a big loss for Elon Musk

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Billionaire Elon Musk has helped President Donald Trump abruptly change the federal government in the opening weeks of the year, but he’s learned he can’t change the laws of political gravity.

Musk and his affiliated groups sunk $21 million into flipping the Wisconsin Supreme Court to conservative control, only to see his candidate defeated by 10 percentage points on Tuesday. The losing margin was four points larger than that of the only other Republican on the same statewide ballot, who was not tied to Musk’s money.

You COULD NOT SAY? It looks like Trump got pissed at Musk because he is gone now so that tells me if he found something he didn't like he would sure as HELL said 'Hey Elon, we need to talk'.
Are you that dense you can't see even THAT?
