A Democrat America would be one where: simply put, laws would be made directly by the voting majority. . In a Democratic Republic,, laws are made by representatives chosen by the people

Note that your saying a Democratic America is evidence of your wish that the electoral college could be abolished. So you actually believe that law should be made directly by the voting majority.

All you're doing is interjecting YOUR agenda into my post, which I do not appreciate.

Abolishing the sham called an Electoral College is overdue (since the reason for it, keeping demagogues out of office, doesn't work any more). Contrary to your scare-a-thon ideas, removing it would not result in a cessation of representative democracy. It would only make it far more honest, honoring the American concept of "one person, one vote".
