It’s about choice, arguments for and against will be made for eternity, before the evangelical right wingers got onto the SCOTUS women had that choice, that freedom enshrined but now a mainly male line up of judges has squashed that.
Anti choice women would be voting Republican regardless of this issue but there will be women who may have voted Republican who now will not because of its attitude to women’s autonomy issues.

He was speaking as if all women can only believe one thing. That no women can be fired up about abortion wrongs (or whatever is the opposite to abortion rights is???)
Just that he should not make that broad sexist claim because women have as many different views on this subject as men. I was making no comment either way on the subject of abortion.
So please, when telling someone they don't get the point, you should be doubly sure that you didn't let the ACTUAL point whoosh by overhead.

First, I think we are all being fed misinformation or slanted information from various vested interests. There's a lot of competition to get people to believe this or that.
Second, I've been thinking about the topic of assimilation -- and I think that expecting or requiring some kinds of assimilation are actually anti-American and go against the goals of the American Experiment.
I think we could say there are Americans whose families have been here for generations who in a sense are also not assimilated, in that they are not willing to let others be themselves and live their own lives according to their own lights.
In the so-called Land of the Free, there seem to be lots of people who wish to impose this or that kind of conformity upon others.
I think we might agree about this, and might even agree about some groups who should just knock it off and stop doing that, although unfortunately it's probably their Constitutional right to keep doing exactly that.
