Your teenager is out for a bike ride and comes home with no bike. Where'd your bike go? They lost it. Oh well buy a new bike and tell them not to lose this one.

Yikes. Now do the same math but with geographically-important bodies of water that carry billions of dollars in global trade every day. I don't even know how many more straits exist in the whole world for him to lose.
