One headline: GOP agrees to ban tactics intimidating voters.
Of course you won't find these kind of headlines on Newsmax or Faux News.
Your pathetic attempt to rewrite history is noted which we know full well is an ongoing tactic of Repubs. They are not republicans any more and we really need the old guard but now it it just repubs puking out the BS of Trump, no longer even playing lip service to actual policy but running on fear and revenge.
And their sick attempt to rewrite history is clear as a bell.
@sonhouse
GA judge rules that election officials who may suspect fraud or irregularities may not refuse to certify election results or delay announcing the results.
quote:
McBurney on Monday had ruled in a separate case that “no election superintendent (or member of a board of elections and registration) may refuse to certify or abstain from certifying election results under any circumstance.” While they are entitled to inspect the conduct of an election and to review related documents, he wrote, “any delay in receiving such information is not a basis for refusing to certify the election results or abstaining from doing so.”
Judge McBurney wrote that nothing in Georgia law gives county election officials the authority to determine that fraud has occurred or what should be done about it. Instead, he wrote, state law says a county election official’s “concerns about fraud or systemic error are to be noted and shared with the appropriate authorities but they are not a basis for a superintendent to decline to certify.”

I can still respect Republicans who honor their party's standards ante-Trump.
I disagree vehemently, but I can still appreciate those who stand against Trump's bastardization of the GOP and who can stand their ground in the face of the party rejecting their own integrity.
@Metal-Brain saidYou are a fool.
@sonhouse
And we will be ready for you election deniers. You democrats started the election denying before Trump did.

Hillary Clinton: "Trump knows he's an illegitimate president"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQesfLIycJw
Trump, with the help of Russia and reactionary factions of the Republican Party, did in fact steal, kidnap and replace the integrity of their voters. Trump first pulled off a coup of the Republican Party before he attempted a coup of the federal government.
The Republican Party is indeed different than what they used to be, while the Democratic Party has remained virtually unchanged since Bill Clinton.
Furthermore, you know this to be true. One of those differences is that now they and you overrely on lies. This is your, and their, constant tell.
Hillary Clinton is right. But not in the way you claim.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidMore gaslighting.
I see a lot of baseless accusations and cowardly threats in your post. Typical Democrat "We will take care of you someday" nonsense. Why are Dems so full of anger and hate?
@Cliff-Mashburn saidIn 1863.
Absolutely.
Voter suppression of blacks was historically a Democrat thing, it was the Republican party that put an end to it.
Why will you people never admit that the roles and focus of the Democratic and Republican Parties have literally flipped since then?
Almost all Trumpers here get this so basically wrong.
@Suzianne saidIn 1863? During the American Civil War? Blacks couldn't vote at all, idiot.

Democrat controlled Southern states did it up until the end of the1950's. It was the Republican party that put an end to it under Eisenhower.
Where have you been?
@Suzianne saidYou have no evidence of your claims and the democrat party did not fight against free speech when Clinton was POTUS.

The democrats have morphed into a fascist party wanting to censor the truth.
@Metal-Brain
Your idea of truth is to let Putin win in Ukraine and then go on to attack NATO countries.
You have ZERO credibility here thanks to your hatred of the US. Great work COMRADE.
@Metal-Brain saidThe Democrats have never 'fought' against free speech.

Using speech to incite mobs is not 'free speech'. It's Fascist.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidThe Civil Rights Act of 1957 did almost nothing.

And you people are stifling voting even now.
Johnson felt he had to weaken it (which he did) to get it to pass.
I'm sorry, I assumed you had at least heard of the Emancipation Proclamation. I forgot I was talking to a Trumpublican.
@Suzianne saidEmancipation Proclamation...by Lincoln....the first Republican president?

Also Johnson weakened it as Senator Majority Leader because he hated it. ALL Southern Democrats did.
My GOD you are a tard.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidMaybe you should actually read up on it before you start calling people 'tards. Settle down, George.

Johnson wanted the bill to pass, which is why he worked to weaken as he knew it would never pass as written. The Republicans themselves threatened to scuttle it.
Just because Eisenhower proposed it to begin with doesn't mean his whole party was onboard. Where do you think the phrase 'Eisenhower Republican' came from? This is what the Democrats started calling Republicans who didn't swallow Trump's lies hook, line and sinker. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was superior in every way to the lame 1957 Act.
And you still don't get it, do you? Lincoln's Republican Party eventually morphed into the current Democratic Party because the hardcore southern Democrats had invaded the Republican Party because they weren't getting what they wanted out of the changing Democratic Party.
You idiots today would blow off Lincoln as "woke" if he ran his exact same Republican Party today as he did then. He wouldn't have a chance with today's electorate.
@Suzianne saidIt's amazing how you know what LBJ was thinking.
