How many times in my life have I heard some religious zealot or some eco-terrorist warn us of End Times.
Greta Thunberg’s Beginning of the End of the World Prediction Was for Today, June 21st
We had five years to stop using fossil fuels to prevent wiping out “all of humanity” from June 21st 2018, Greta Thunberg claimed in a now-deleted Tweet.
Today is the anniversary of a doomsday prediction made by Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg when she was just 15 years old June 21st 2018, stating the human race had five years to end fossil fuels or face certain death.

@Earl-of-Trumps
The corporate news media promoted so much fear alarmists have become a doomsday cult. They drank the cool aid.

The leftists deride the preacher spewing fire and brimstone but the reality is,
the leftists love the lib spokesperson that puts fear into the huddled, gullible masses.
@earl-of-trumps saidIt is curious that you get a thumbs down for quoting facts.

Facts are scary things you know and feeling are far more important than reality.
Can someone ( the thumbs downer ) have the guts to explain to this simple man why these facts are so offensive.
Predictions from the 70's have gone wrong so many times it is nought but a joke.
@earl-of-trumps saidYep. I always get at least one thumbs down no matter how right I am. It is probably being right that bothers them so much. If you were wrong at least they would be happy they can prove you wrong. Now they have to shut up, except for suzi. She might call you a liar anyway. That is her MO.
@jimmac
I wouldn't fret over it Jim, but thanks.
I get the 1 downthumb no matter the post. It's a secret admirer [snickers] - democrat, I bet.
@earl-of-trumps saidNot fretting at all Earl, rather bemused actually at the predictability of what happens when they are confronted with facts.

You know she has deleted the tweet from way back when.
I find it both amusing and annoying at the same time, that when looking for the failed predictions, that you KNOW happened, they are rather hard to find. Just like Greta's deleted tweet.
@jimmac saidRead it again. This op was personal.

@wildgrass saidAnd???? How and, if so, so what, it was quoting an article and its premise was factual, yes??.
Read it again. This op was personal.
The doomsday prediction, once again, sigh, did NOT come to pass.
@no1marauder saidThat being true has nought to do with the "FACTS". If it was not deleted, it should have been. What an embarrassment. But then, these these happen so often, this crowd just pushes it to one side and keeps plodding on regardless.

Eagerly awaiting the next "fail".
@earl-of-trumps saidYeah that’s right because there’s no difference between a delusional belief in supernatural beings and pointing out that 2 + 2 = 4.

Greta’s not the idiot here, man made climate change deniers and balmpots who believe in non existent judgemental psychopathic gods are definitely the idiots.
@earl-of-trumps saidHahaha put your fiddle down for a minute and look around you.

@jimmac saidIt's down voted for reasons other than facts. For example, earl is making sweeping generalizations about his personal feelings on the issue that not all people agree with. My down vote was earned because earl seems to think the words of15 year old Greta thunberg is some kind of a threat to his own well being.

I think it's logical folly to say that the absence of a predicted apocalypse necessarily evidence of bad science. Sometimes doomsday doesn't come because we made changes that addressed the problem. Undoubtedly, the world would be more polluted without nuclear energy for example.
