@AverageJoe1 saidI don't like Kamala, but I cannot say Trump didn't increase debt. They all over spend, but when you have neocon republicans supporting Kamala that is a big red flag. A vote for Kamala is a vote for WW3.
With your well-written post, you don't mention what 'budgeting and balancing' Harris has planned...................................because there is no such plan.
Only spending. She will asking for trillions. She will simply dole it out.
So, how do your thoughts square with a spendthrift who knows NOTHING about growing an economy.....only dolling out? Who wants to take our reins?
The military spending is over the top. Nobody would spend that much on the military unless they have big wars planned. Nobody would rack up this much debt and intend to keep the US dollar in the long term. But why would they do that and let BRICS take the US dollar's place as the world reserve currency?
The answer is simple and disturbing. They plan to prevent BRICS from taking hold by military force. That is why they have gone full megalomaniac on Russia, Iran and China. They want WW3. They think they can dominate the world. They think they can take out BRICS by force. That way they can impose any currency they want on the world.
They want a digital currency. Something that can keep people away from that pesky Bitcoin. They really hate Bitcoin!
@Metal-Brain saidSo Kamala is going to do 'their' bidding and initiate WW3 to crush bitcoin?

Agreed. Debt is one area of misgiving I have in voting for Democrats (which I will do, nonetheless, for the foreseeable. The GOP must be completely destroyed for their disgusting betrayal of America.)
Heather Cox Richardson repeats this mantra at least several times a week: 'Politicians and commentators agreed that most Democrats and Republicans shared a “liberal cons ...[text shortened]... d on protecting all our rights equally, not on finding somebody who is in trouble and "fixing" them.
This is why I can't support the Democratic party, no matter how bad Trump is.
Economy-killing overregulation is the worst problem a non-fascist government can have.
There's a reason it's impossible to get anything done in places like New York and California.
@Metal-Brain saidOn your debt comment. Think about Kamala though. She will ask for trillions to spend on handouts, plain and simple. Let us agree that Trump will incur debt, it is shown that tariffs, which are definitely necessary given what other countries are doing, may cause debt in other sectors.

If I ask you which will have the most debt, do you think it will be Trump, or do you think it will be Harris? Seriously.
Hey,, I just saw a piece on FOX biz, China is targeting phones of the Trump family and the Repubs. Not Harris and the Dems. I have to think they want Harris to be president.
@sh76 saidWell, if Republicans are not much better. If they were about repealing BAD regulations, I would be more sympathetic, but all Trump wanted to do was strip environmental protections which are probably the best regulations we have.

From a bipartisan standpoint, I'd like to see all regulations with an automatic 6 year 'sunset' clause so that the Senators that voted for the enabling bill have all be re-elected (or ousted) and a new group has to re-approve the good laws that are working and protecting all our rights equally.
I disagree with SCOTUS that Congress is an appropriate regulatory body. They have neither the time not the inclination nor expertise to write laws detailed enough to act as specific regulations.
Single issue legislation, no filibusters, and sunset clauses on regulation would fix many problems. And term limits on judges, including SCOTUS. Shake that whole mess up.
@sh76 said1. Insisting on transwomen in sports. You can still support the right of trans people to identify how they choose without throwing common sense out the window.
Name three things that "your" side gets wrong
I have no problem electing a trans person for government or working wherever. But sports is simply a different matter. Also, it's okay to admit they're not actually women and don't meet the definition of one. Respecting a trans person's right to be identified can still happen while acknowledging this.
2. Refugees/asylum seekers/.Border control. Dems don't think enough about what to do once they're let in the country. Of course we should open our doors to them; but there must be a plan to integrate migrants in an orderly, realistic way.
It should also be impossible for any person to cross the border without explicit permission from custom agents. Catch-and-return policies aren't good enough; it should be physically impossible for anyone to enter without proper clearance.
@vivify saidAgree. Trans women in female sports makes no frickin' sense.

Sports should be segregated by chromosomes - XX over here, XY over there. Don't care what you are wearing, don't care about your hormone treatments or whatever else. You do you.
This is genetics.

@sh76 saidInteresting how many Jews choose to live in exactly those two places. Why do you think that is?
