Your argument actually proves why the constitution requires the president to be a natural born citizen. The issue isn't whether other cultures are inferior or superior… It's whether the person interested with ultimate authority over America has been fully formed by America's constitutional traditions, values, and civic framework from the very beginning.

'Collective identity' is just a way of describing the identity of a collective, whatever is the identity of said collective, and there will always be state control over economic life in America, since the state controls taxes, welfare and so on. How that control manifests itself is a matter of politics.
