Well lets use this forum as an example...

Which democrat will admit Biden is doing a bad job with the border? None will say that.
Which democrat will say that the 3 trillion spending bill was ridiculous? None will say that.

Give me a democrat in here that is willing to say one bad thing? You can't because they won't.

That's ridiculous...

I agree ...[text shortened]... e infrastructure bill and so do a lot of Republicans. We don't blindly follow a party like the dems.
Well I’m not a democrat. the party is too far to the right for me, but no administration has done a good job on the border for a long time and successive administrations have done a criminal job south of the border, the latter fact is responsible for a lot of the northerly migration.
As for the trillions it’s better to invest in infrastructure and Human Resources than giving it to corporations in the form of tax cuts like the corporate lackey.
Clearly private investment has not taken up the challenge of updating your infrastructure and that only leaves public funding unless you want to go into the second half of the 21st century with 20th century infrastructure.

Every now and again the definition of fascism rears its ugly head on this forum.
With people not understanding the difference between socialism and fascism, etc.

By pure chance I stumbled upon this video my a Yale professor on philosophy. It really defines fascism to the core.
Enjoy!

I was in favor of the infrastructure bill because it will create jobs.
But not because it would improve the infrastructure ??

Traditional left- right- classifications almost don't apply to the U.S. For most Europeans, both American parties are so middle-of-the-road as to be nearly indistinguishable. American Democrats are slightly leftish of center, and Republicans are slightly rightish of center.
Actually, most Europeans would judge Democrats to be slightly right-of-centre, and Republicans to be basically on the far right - at least as economics are concerned. Middle-of-the-road European politics involves free health care, free or at least cheap education as far as degree level, generous state pensions and generous paid parental leave. These things are not seriously contested even by European conservative parties in most countries (although Britain, predictably, has gone some way down the American route).

But what is fascism,,,,,like, this week? Do you not think it is fascist for the libs going wild in forcing all this school CRT stuff, and, worse, telling parents what to do????????????????? TELLING them?? Do you think that the school works FOR the parents? Say, oh yeah, AvJoe, you got a point. Yeah, fascism...of libs.
Did you see where about 20 of those fairies ran out on the Northwestern football field this weekend with "Abolish Police" Pooooooooooooooosssssttters. ??????
I would LOVE to see a secretary that works in my office out there, I would fire her as soon as I could get to my cell phone. Frankly, no big deal. Who wouldn't??

I’m not sure 20 “fairies” calling for the abolition of anything constitutes anything other than than 20 “fairies” calling for
Something.

That’s my reading as well.
The democrats are roughly the tories in England and sort of a right-wing VVD in the Netherlands.
Even Angela Merkels’ party is to the left of the democrats.

The republicans are so off-field, they wouldn’t be considered mainstream in Europe.
Especially not the recent rhetoric.

His comments about socialist democrats becoming fascist once in power was nice 😏

"The takeover of media, schools and religion"

So liberals will eventually be the fascists? πŸ€”

Does he have a video explaining communist regimes?
You, uh, seem to have failed to comprehend.
Perhaps you need to watch it again?

I couldn't care less.

It's more about getting people into good jobs than anything else.

You gotta' go real slow for Fat Boy.

On some points I agree.
I'm not a big supporter of socialism.
Perhaps as a hybrid in combination with free market capitalism.

But I find that the issues of the day, climate change, infrastructure needs and others have become trojan horses for those who want to implement the ideology.

I say present your ideology and let it stand on it's own 2 feet.
Don't sneak it through the bathroom window.

Maybe that's why there is so much opposition. Because too many are seeing through it.

Fixing our roads and bridges, bolstering our platforms (high speed wifi, protection against bad actors, etc) is one initiative.
Paternity leave, free education (presented as investment in our next generation) is another initiative.

Stuffing everything in at once got the Dems into the trouble they now find themselves in.
All because of a few ideologues with stars in their eyes.
