Because WE have nuclear weapons. Peace through strength. Note that that phrase is one of the many phrases, such as self-reliance, that the liberals on this Forum never say.

Because it is not necessary.

Saying the words is like "Neener neener!" in poorer countries faces.

That is not what America used to be about.

Used to be, we actually helped those countries, instead of thumbing our noses at them.

But now we're in the Trump era. Insult everybody, all the time.

All I want for Christmas is a president who is an adult.

Another one of your moronic posts. Peace through strenght is a term used for decades. Low grade post. And you have no friends.

@AverageJoe1
There were constant 'threats' it was called the Cold War - what on earth are you talking about? It was called M.A.D. and it still exists...

I am just the messenger. If you want to argue about this, I recommend marauder for a good debate..

Russia has repeatedly made statements that many people interpret as nuclear threats. China certainly has nuclear weapons and occasionally uses harsh rhetoric, but it generally has not issued the same kind of direct nuclear threats toward the United States and officially maintains a no-first-use policy

Being a nuclear threat is different than threatening nuclear war.
They are simply nuclear competitors, a whole lot different than what you suggest. Ask Suzianne.

@AverageJoe1
The 'threat' is always implied/ implicit simply by having them - if you attack us we will respond in kind. Therefore, the title of this post is nonsense - that's my only point

You should repeat yourself twice, not just once, that's what Trump does. You do wanna 'be like Trump', don't you?

Ever since he heard Obama say that an audience will remember what you say if you say it three times. He meant in an entire speech, not three times in a row, which is what Trump always does. This is how you can tell stupid people. They are always unclear on the concept.

Give it up, man. Trump will never love you, he doesn't care about you. If you are lucky he might let you iron his shirts.

I get, then, that you are saying that the USA has a standing policy of threatening the world's nations with nuclear war?

just askin

Do you understand anything?

@AverageJoe1

As I said, implicitly that is the whole point in having them, regardless of country. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend...

As far as I know, China has never threatened any country with nuclear weapons. On the contrary, China was once threatened with nuclear strikes by two nations, and one of them even made concrete plans to carry it out.Want to guess which two countries those were?

How come China and Russia have never threatened Mongolia or the Philipines?
