Earmuff man broke a door. This was all caught on film. He came from behind the capitol police line, broke the door down and went back behind CP lines after they watched him break down the door.

Why did the CP watch him break the door and let him go? They even turned their backs to him as he went through his backpack and changed his shirt. That is not normal. He could have had a gun in his backpack for all they knew.
Or did they know him and let him break the law?

EDIT: So let's analyze MetalBrain's position. If he answers 'yes,' then armed men WERE present at the capitol (contrary to his own stated opinion) and therefore the insurrectionists could just as easily have just been concealing arms under their jackets.

Your position seems to be that the capitol police were incompetent so you don't have to admit it was a frame job. You have an incompetence theory.

How would I know if they had guns. I didn't see what earmuff man had in his backpack. Nobody stopped him to search it.

* One of the others was Steve Baker, who I know personally. His videos are available on YouTube as 'The Pragmatic Constitutionalist'. He is not an insurrectionist AFAIK. He entered the capitol that day with the excuse that he was 'reporting' and 'recording the days events.' Plausible. He left peacefully. Among other things, Steve is a trumpet player.
