What makes the leadership of Iran a dictatorship?
They are not a dictatorship. Their kind of an odd republic with some funny voting laws -- not a complete democracy, but getting there. I don't object to Iran having nukes.

So Redmike, those nukes in your backyard need to be there -- at least until the UN becomes a serious organ of world government. If you get rid of them, you are actually increasing the likelihood of war.
I don't see how this follows at all.

Even if we accept your view (which I don't), a small country like Scotland is no threat to anyone else, and wouldn't be of interest to any of these nasty dictators.

I quite like the Clunking Fist. I have no idea why - in policy terms it's just more awful PFI, he's notably pro-American and I have this enduring suspicion that he's going to have a Wilsonesque bonfire of controls when he accedes - but I quite like the idea of a grudge-bearing, fingernail-chewing madman as PM. As for the anti-Scottish sentiment, those considering voting for "Dave" Cameron on that basis should reflect on the overwhelming irony of their saviour's surname.

When he referred to when 'we' won the world cup in 1966, he officially and irrevocably became English.

Shoott! He's the PM!
Worse than that though, who will be the next Chancellor?
