I was wondering if anybody has this book, anybody is trying to get through it, and if so, how close anybody has come to actually completing it. I've done about six of the things there, admittedly the easier ones, some of them are virtually impossible.

I have the book but I left it in my classroom. I know I had done at least couple of things. I have to be in the school tomorrow -- I'll try to remember to bring the book home. But yes, I do remember one was about getting a letter to the editor published in the newspaper and I did that one a long time ago. That one was easy.

I don't remember seeing that, maybe there are different versions. The one I've got is ambitious to say the least. For example, visit every country, ride all the world's famous rollercoasters, go into space... it even suggests some things like doing a runner from a fancy restaurant, buying something big you can't afford etc

I can't see anybody completing it, and to be honest if anyone did, one the one hand it'd be a full life but on the other a very wasted one.

It wasn't mygoal; it was in the book. But I can't wait to hear what exactly makes it stupid, oh wise and worldly one.

I think "beat somebody's ass" is a good one to have.

I think to do it isn't stupid, but to have it as a life ambition would be.

I've had a letter to a newspaper published also.

And done a runner from a restaurant - hasn't everyone? 😀

I think it would be stupid to let someone else dictate what life ambitions you should have. If you set them yourself, they may sound stupid to others, but as long as they are meaningful for yourself, who cares?

Its amazing how quickly and methodically a thread decends into a criticising contest. I'm only new here but i must say - I dont think much of alot of members characters.

life is what you make it... and yes why let anyone dictate what you should or shouldnt have done... doesnt make you less a human being at the end of the day if you havent followed suit...
