In my younger days I was dating 4 at once. It got a bit busy and my mum's n dad's phone got overloaded too! I decided which ONE I wanted to continue with. I asked the other 3 to meet me outside WHSmith's in Liverpool at 2.00pm Sat. I watched from a distance as they all turned up and waited... then got talking. Easy! Never had a call again!
One of my exes was a singer/actress.
On a fine summer's evening she was singing "Blue Velvet" (I think that was the name of the song, this was a good 14 years ago) on stage and she started off-key. Instead of stopping she continued on, trying to get into tune...alas.
Nothing wrong so far. Obviously she was very upset, but hey, even I've sung the odd bummer every now and again (or anyone who heard my MP3's will testify to: all the time).
So, we and a couple of our friends, one of whom, a lesbian dancer, I lived with, went to a pub in Rotterdam to have a drink.
The lesbian and I were always kidding about and so it was that during a beer that I was rubbing my foot up against the lesbians leg and that she, ala "when Harry met Sally" started moaning aloud.
Anne (this was my girlfriend) huffed, puffed and said, in a very vicious voice: "Stop it! You're embarrassing me!"
To which I replied, obviously without much thought: "Who embarrasses who in front of 500 people?"
That was the end of that relationship.
