I have a question regarding the England team. Do they have a homosexual player quoter, and if so, why is it set at 15?
Anyway, I fancy Wales to beat Ireland. The Micks (let's stick to the theme of the thread) haven't looked as god as they can be and I kind of like the way the Welsh play. Although I hear that Gareth Thomas isn't playing so who knows.
Originally posted by sjegMy point is that the French weren't exactly busting a gut second half again Ireland, so they might have looked better than they actually were. As I mentionned before, Wales trashed Scotland 1st half last year, but Scotland looked good second half, mainly because Wales eased off a lot to save themselves for the Irish game.
Yes, we've bee atrocious, except for the second half in Paris. If we find that form, Wales will be out of the match. So I fancy the Ireland for the win. But then you're a taff and I'm a paddy.
Looking forward to the game.
Originally posted by welsharnieYou think the French wouldn't have liked to put 80 points on us, if they could have? Bah. They were boo-ed by the crowd, and slated in the media. The didn't stop trying. They were just out-played. Plus we gifted them their first half lead through our own mistakes. We played most of the rugby (good and bad).

Yes, but last year you were on for a Grand Slam, and we had a Triple Crown to aim for. Not quite the same incentive. You played well, and deserved the victory.
This year you've no championship hopes (having already lost to the English), and a list of injuries. We're missing Paul O'Connell, who'll be very difficult to make up for, but otherwise have a full team. If we win our remaining games, we can win the championship. Plus everyone is calling for blood here in the media. Pressure's on the gaffer, and O'Gara, Bowe and Murphy to perform, or face the chop.
(Personally, I'd start Humphries)...
Anyway, I think we'll edge it, and turn this season around.

stamina counts and ireland had itin the france game, they managed to fight to the end, despite the discouraging treatment meted out by a team on a burn-out. i reckon ireland will be even stronger for the experience, but their real weakness is confidence and thats why they wont win the six nations. i bet no one will win the grand slam.
Originally posted by buffalobillI'd dearly like them to win the title, but they've to go to Dublin and Rome - both tricky; I suspect they'll need to win both to have a chance.
I don't think the grand slam can be won anymore but how about Scotland for the Six Nations title?
I love the underdogs - Scotland 18 - England 12. Wahay.
Edinburgh is jumping tonight. Ive just managed to fight my way through the crowds of people celebrating our 6 year wait of beating the " WORLD" Champions.....how often are we going to be able to say that?.........DEFENCE.........defence.........DEFENCE.........defence.
To be honest both sides played well, you can see that by the score line. The best team came out on top though'
Im sure you'll agree?

well done scotland. england didn't learn their lessons from the flat performance against italy and got what was coming. There truly was only one martin johnson, and o how do we miss him. i can see france winning the title now, but the true winners are the southern hemisphere teams with only 1 year to go to the world cup. but it's scotlands day, so make the most of it whilst it lasts. look at poor wales these days after winning last years grand slam!
Wales were shambles. Henson is so bad, but in fairness his hair looked good
Ireland were not very good either playing against a much depleted Welsh side. I think they would have struggled if Jones stayed on field.
Ireland will beat Scotland but not by as much
France will beat England
Wales will beat Italy (just)
