You and others kept the towers standing for an hour by making coffee?
I mainly kept walkie talkies charged up, passing them out to those who needed them, kept other 2 way radios going, used indoor antenna setups and such, I fixed printers on the blink, and delivered coffee inside the red cross building sometimes also. It was a very long day. We had a network of hams who were out in the streets keeping emergency people in touch with HQ and all I did was keep the radios running. It was providence and a lot of heroic effort that 90 percent of the people got out of the towers before they crashed.
