It was so inspiring, there should be an entire thread dedicated to it. 😉

We're adults here aren't we? We're on equal ground, it's not like you or I have to discipline the other posters here, we just except them as they are.

i'd guess that he's pointing out that using 'except' in place of 'accept' totally changed the meaning of your post.

Bad behaviour- that would be insulting another poster wouldn't it; either by giving them a rude link or typing something nasty. Those things are against the TOS and so people generous enough to give up their time sort that kind of things out using the guidlines....right?

My point is if we only want to chat to certian posters then we can join a club where they are or play a game with them. There's no need to shoo them out of a general internet forum.

I alerted the first post in this thread as a bad idea all round, and will take no more part in this thread other than posting this.

there's no question of anyone chasing anyone out. but: if someone posts in a general forum, then they have to accept that their posts might be criticised. they can reply to that criticism if they want to. if their posts attract a lot of criticism from a wide range of posters, then there is probably something in their posts that is broadly objectionable.

not to be patronising, but if English is not a language you feel fluent in, is there a possibility that you are missing some of the nuances that makes certain posters widely annoying?

Yes, well what makes a good forum is variety. And anyway, as I already pointed out what Trev wants in his own forum he can have by excluding whomever he wants in a clan or club he leads.

so you enjoy the fact that every thread rusty touches at the moment leads to an argument? where's the 'variety' in that? like cft pointed out i never suggested that anyone should leave the forum just change the way they post... why should one man have the right to potentially spoil it for so many others? do you think that it's a coincidence that it's a relativity friendly more active forum when rusty and gb aren't posting?
