And I thought it was old grannies that live on gossip.... 🙂
Hey, you know that Mikelom? His wife has just had a BABY!!!
So you see folks, life continues, even away from the black and white squares 🙂
What I've heard is that [cencored] game against [cencored] he [cencored], can you believe it? I thought only [cencored] could do such a thing, but you never know. Why doesn't [cencored] do anything about it? I think he [cencored] [cencored] to [cencored] so [cencored] doesn't [cencored] the [cencored].
I heard a gossip that there will be a gossip filter soon, anyone heard anything about it?

Originally posted by ludzRespectfully, Ludz, may I offer a dissenting opinion. Gossip is never a good thing. Why? Broadcasting rumors, hearsay, half truths and public
You need to p.m me with the latest rumours, allegations, accusations and counter-accusations. And I thought it was old grannies that live on gossip.... 🙂
lies about other folks harms them without cause. Slandering reputation and assasinating character are low ball tactics perpetrated behind
someone's innocent back. Motives have everything to do with judgement. Gossiping reflects questionable motives, lack of nobility and
unsound judgement. Listening to gossip is roughly the equivalent of eating juicy garbage. Where and in what ways is this opinion wrong?

Have you ever debated the merits of a Presidential candidate? Thats all hearsay as well. People gossip - if you like what they say, you probably gossip away with them, if you don't like what they say, you call it gossip and condemn them for it. Almost all talk beyond the weather or how the [insert sports team name here] are doing this year is gossip to some degree. Hardly anyone has a personal, friendly conversation which involves only scientific fact. If you've been gossipped about, ignore it if you don't like it, play along if it's funny. If you haven't been gossipped about - god help you, you've led a dull life.
Respectfully, Ludz, may I offer a dissenting opinion. Gossip is never a good thing. Why? Broadcasting rumors, hearsay, half truths and public

"You" in this particular post is the generic "everybody" you, not Grampy Bobby you.

with one or more people on any topic under the sun. It's quite another to habitually engage in idle chatter about trivial topics or private
rumors and intimate facts, which only serve to violate the privacy of another person... and no other worthwhile purpose. Such ignoble
behavior suggests suspect motives, pseudo norms and standards and insensitivity to the wishes and feelings of other people.
Believe you'll come to realize there is a distinction here which makes a difference.
