...for the late Kurt Vonnegut who died today at 84. One of my favourite authors of this or any century.

It was funny when he was in "Back to School".

Norman Mailer said that the producers asked him to be in the film but he drew the line at full frontal nudity while Vonnegut did not. I thought the cameo was excellent as well.

Anyway, Vonnegut was a truly unique presence and he will be missed. He was one of my favorite authors.

Kurt Vonnegut was brilliant. A great thinker, and a breakthrough writer, he was also a supporter of the humanist philosophy. He was an inspiration in many ways, to many people. Kurt Vonnegut will be sorely missed.

To those who have read (and loved) his novels should (if you haven't already) check out his short stories - they can be found in compilations called "Welcome to the Monkey House" and "Bagombo Snuff Box."

He spoke at our commencement address in college. Very intelligent man with and keen wit. It was quite pleasureable. He will be sorely missed.

Nice! I might have actually attended mine if Vonnegut was there.

I heard of him for the first time several years ago, but didn't read anything by him until quite recently. Luckily his books didn't die with him. You should check it out.
