Poor Mike :'(
I am sorry, man. Really. I just realized how difficult it must be
to get to your age and realize it was all a fantasy.
I'm probably older than Mike (i'm 65) and i've come to realize that spelling isn't paramount to communication skills.
Just my opinion.
As a general rule, age should bring wisdom .. the benifit of experence and the accumulation of knowledge over time.
On the other hand, the memory can begin to fade too .. that's why I play chess, body-surf, and run/walk everyday.
Use it or lose it.
Youth really is wasted on the young.
^^edit^^ As for realizing it was all a fantasy .. that would be the beginning of wisdom IMHO

I don't know what you think about what I've heard once: It is
natural to be a commie rebel when you're young, just as it is
stupid not to be a conservative when you're 60.

little I really know (paraphrasing Socrates - or was it Einsten? See, you
might say I still know a lot). This is so true. Take your comment here for
instance. To realise it was all a fantasy is the beginning of wisdom.
Of course, at one time the idea of a secular state was fantasy, yet, look
at us now. If your definition of wisdom holds true, then by current world
affairs it would be something we need to shy away from as hard as
possible. We would have to say to each other: "Hey! Whatever you do,
don't listen to that guy over there. He's wise." To grow old and accept the
world as it is with all it's err, in my opinion, is way more tragic than to
keep believing in revolutionary ideas that could put an end to misery and
injustice for a great many people.
Wisdom. Bah! I spit on it like I do the quitter and the weak hearted.
Redmike, you just keep it up, you hear? The western world needs your
kind. Desperately.
