3 Years (although I would play occasionally ever since I was six)
I like the possibilities, all the possibilities, all the ideas bubbling into my mind. I like being in total control of my pieces - but I think pieces have some influence over me.
I dislike chess clocks - I hate time constraints. It reminds me that I am being consumed by time. [I don't like seeing the time, I wear my watch upside down so I don't have to see the time.] I hate cheaters and mean people too (in and out of chess) - I wish they didn't exist.
Chess is so impersonal too; it's like the pieces are shielding me from the real world. I think I should be helping people instead.
Running, soccer, reading, writing, listening to music.
I would definitely be a castle, a glass castle. I'd have an excellent view of the world. I'd be detached from the mad world but I would know what was going on in it. Castles have elements of safety and strength - and I like that. :-)
