Busy huh?
YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT? I SWEAR I COULD JUST TAKE AN EXTRA 90 MINUTES WRITING, PRACTICING, AND POSTING A SONG IF YOU DO.

Going to visit my wife's family in January down in Brazil...already salivating.
We don't spend much time in the cities...we make a fast track to the farm, so perhaps no Churrascarias, but no worries, her brother is a good churrasqueiro himself 🙂
Originally posted by PalynkaI know. There are a couple of good ones here in the US, but they are insanely expensive. I find it very hard to spend $40 per person when I can get the same or better food for 1/3 or 1/4 the price.

No churrascaria in the town near their sitio, but nothing beats churrasco on the veranda.

First, you need some Chourico patties. I went with patties over links because I didn't want to buy another batch of bulky rolls, and had burger buns on hand.

Dice up some Green and Red Peppers, and some Onion. Put that in tinfoil with a generous splash of YOU'RE favorite beer, or fine.

Originally posted by RagnorakHighly doubt that I'll be making it to anywhere other than the Sitio in the near future (next few years). Wife's parents are getting on in age so we try to spend as much time on the farm as possible...which is in Parana'...quite a ways from Bahia.

There are loads of good pay by weight places though. Love it. 🙂

If they have any (other) ethnic stores/butchers by you try and
get some south american types of chorizo, very 'steaky', a lot less like sausage and not quite as greasy. That'd be a whole new flavor too, and still excellent with the bell peppers.
The portagee stuff is great too of course, I've had it and like it.
