Rusty’s RAM isn’t sufficient to hold “gooster” (credited to @Gerturde), “work on your chess”, “whatabout the EURO thread” and “bed wetting” so at least one may have to be deleted or he may lose some basal metabolic functioning.

It had started out like any other day and Dive really had no inkling at all he was about to have a divine encounter in the vegetable aisle of his local supermarket. Having reached ‘onions’ on his shopping list and being unsure if his wife had meant red onions or regular onions, the Lord Almighty appeared to him, just above the cauliflowers. Not a particularly religious man Dive had all the same recognised the immense significance of the encounter and bowed his head accordingly. With unquestionable authority God had then reached out an arm and pointed at the regular onions.

i watched the pot again
and again, as i watched, it would not boil
i watched and watched and watched some more
and after that i merely observed
the pot, or, perhaps i should reference the water in the pot?
it just would not boil
time passed
or was it the illusion of time mixed with unboiled watched water in a pot?
the rice remained dry, and time stood still while i waited for the dang water to boil so i could undesiccate my rice
i write about water not boiling and the wry observations of watching water not boil
i'll add an onion
the potted water still won't boil
counting words cramps my brain and i begin to despise the story i craft
to hell with onions

I like my onions (cocktail) immersed in 2 ounces of Vodka with just a pinch of White Vermouth ( stirred not shaken, please).🍸👍
