As a student of the wonderful world of maths, abaci maths intrests me greatly. However, I seem unable to find a web site that provides abaci that are a)cheap or b)for people older than 5.

For some reason everybody thinks that you either want them as a toy or an ornament. Does anybody know of a site or shop in the UK that sells good abaci that aren't just toys but are not too expensive?

Thanks...

I think you may need other raw materials. Beads, dowels and a wood for a frame. 😞

Ask one of the engineers in the uni to make one, for a few quid of course.

I had a few lovely varnished one's made, binary, octal and hex.
