In all the films I've seen him in, yes.
American Beauty = Seven = The Usual Suspects = L.A. Confidential = The Negotiator?

That's a few out of the top of my head, but I really like Kevin Spacey.

He's playing Lex Luthor in the next Superman movie.

He's good in The Big Kahuna as well.

There is no competition - Steven Seagal takes the biscuit.
I love it when he gets serious, absolutely hysterical!

Wow, just read he's making "Under Siege 3: Plane Danger". Hope he sheds a few pounds or he'll end up paying for two seats 🙁

Anybody mentioned James Spader yet?

I can't believe no one's mentioned Hayden Christensen- played Aniken Skywalker- the young adult. ugh. clearly the worst. Of his performance in the most recent Star Wars movie, Rolling Stone said something like, "to call his performance 'wooden' is an affront to puppets everywhere."

Russell Crowe's alright.

David Caruso, now that guy can't act worth a sh...
Caruso is one of the most over done melodramatic pieces of turd on TV. I wish they would just shoot him and get him off the air.

James Spader isn't terrible. Not the best, but not terrible. I enjoyed his performance in "Bad Influence" and "Less Than Zero".

Thank you! I can't stand that Rdcliff brat. Not too impressed with the other two twits either.

Wayne and Cooper can't be included They were just stars and without a doubt held their own.

There are some terrible actors out there, but I particularly dislike the people who make a career out of being themselves, or a very limited range, then people worship them as great actors:

1. Tom Hanks.
2. Sir Anthony Hopkins.
3. Kevin Spacey.
4. Judi Dench.

Can't think of any more right now.
thats an unfortunate element to the industry: in order to make money in the acting, you need to deliver the same (or a similar) "product" time and time again. That way people will keep coming to see them, because they like what that particular performer brings to their roles. That's why you see more and more people making it big, who have no real discernable talent (i would like to take this opportunity to re-nominate Orlando Bloom, and hope that he gets hit by a bus today and nobody has to suffer through any more of his infuriating brow-furrowing)
peace out.🙂

I think Segal and Vanndamn bad movies go directly to DVD, I don't think they even bother sending them to the big screens anymore.
Maybe you are a bit rough on Tom Hanks though, he started out in comedy with such films as Turner and Hooch and the Money pit but then he also did films like Philedlphia, Forest Gump, The Green Mile,
The Terminal, Saving Private Ryan. Those movies changed my perception of him as a lightweight into a real actor. Those roles were not easy ones to play and were very diverse. I think he did a very good job in all those films.

Perhaps you should actually read the whole thread and not just this page then you would stand more chance of posting something that doesn't make you sound like a bloody moron.

hey, widge! it's good to read you again! 😀

Well, I don't know if portraying oneself has more merit than really changing to portray credibly a whole new person, i.e. Robert De Niro in "Raging Bull"
Ya think? Really? :'( How many Chess players trying to act intelligent would pass themselves off as Klingon Warriors? 😵 Give your carpace a good shudder! 😵 Sometimes acting is pointless :'(
