I agree with drdon on this point. In a nutshell:

The definition of genocide can be found in the Genocide Convention otherwise Kruger v Cth. The assimilation policies of the Australian government (post 1901) are examples of genocide (according to the convention) in practice.

regarding current neglect, if laws are in place in favour of Indigenous people it is there for a reason; to rectify inequities.
Exactly

Most Portuguese colonies didn't suffer any type of genocide. Slavery was more profitable...

ok, but you are exhibiting maximum stupidity with your rant. ๐Ÿ˜›
Thank you for looking in the mirror and being honest with yourself

Ozzy settlers gave Aboriginal people methylated spirits to go blind, and then they were given brand new falcons...

Really? Have you ever driven a 1965 Ford Falcon like the one they used in Homicide?

No, but I used to own a '67 Ford Fairlane, "three on the tree", 289 cubic engine 8-cylinder that was handed down to me by my dad back in '78. That car would really grab a "second". The back seat saw more action than a Ron Jeremy Film Festival... ๐Ÿ™‚

Lucky devil! My dad had an Austin 1800 (MK1)! But at least it had a camping body... more accommodating than a back seat.) The H 4 on the floor was similar to a Jag, but I'm afraid the similarities ended there. The '65 Falcons were very reliable but handled terribly, esp on rough surfaces.

The GT was a great car with many still on the road today. A car exactly like the one in the pic was parked outside my neighbour's house yesterday, fully restored, in pristine condition. My neighbour is an enthusiast, so the noise level is sometimes on the high side!)

Do you have many on the road where you are? You might remember that they were hugely successful at Bathurst, esp on the straights but suffered a little against the zippier Toranas on the climb and in the SSs. The '65 Falcon I was thinking of was the base model V6 family sedan which handled like a wet sponge and was downright dangerous on corrugated corners.

You got a car when you were a little "child"?
